This was my first attempt at the Brenizer Effect. This was 39 shots merged into one. Unfourtantly, in order to see the full effect of the picture, you need to see it full screen.

A photogram is a photographic image made (without a camera) by placing objects directly onto the surface of a photo-sensitive material such as photographic paper and then exposing it to light. The result is a silhouetted image varying in darkness based on the transparency of the objects used, with areas of the paper that have not received any light appearing light and those that have appearing dark, according to the laws of photosensitivity. The image obtained is hence a negative and the effect is often quite similar to an X-Ray.

This is the original picture of how I developed it, overdeveloped it, or underdeveloped it in Photography class. This has not been enhanced or photoshopped in any way.
I always want to try to shoot some infrared photos. However, buying an expensive infrared filter (i.e. Hoya R72) is not quite practical to me. So I tried to play around with photoshop to get the coloured infrared effect as close as I can. And here is the result. I know it's not perfect but I think it's still acceptable.

This is one of my favorite photos from this 365. Briene brought a large mirror to our shoot with Clara and Alexis. The combination of the brick wall, the natural light, the mirror and most importantly Clara's expression made this shot for me. I usually have a hard time with the amount of reflection in glasses and Clara's angle helped to reduce the effect.
In this shot, I chose a tighter crop because I didn't want the edges of the mirror in the shot, I feel it is a bit more intense without the frame.
Small occurance can produce unpredictable and sometimes drastic results by triggering a series of increasingly significant events.
Theresa and I were driving toward Serena, IL and saw a Illinois Railway train slowing in the town of Serena. We hauled butt to the Fox River bridge to get a shot. We waited.........and finally cautiously drove back to Serena listening for horn blasts and FRED chirps on the scanner. Nothing. We found the train tied down just outside of Serena ! No Fox River bridge shot this trip

The ideal is to find things that have rusted naturally, but that’s not always possible. I decided to try a new rust effect product on some items laying around the house, to see what would happen. As you can see this rust effect product works very well on plastic, wood or even glass. Also possible to paint with it. Have a good fun.
