Gingko leaves can be seen covering the pathways and parks of Japan in the Autumn and Winter. After a heavy night of rain, I wanted the capture the water that beads on the surface of the leaves. Used for a number of different purposes, Gingko is probably best known in it's medicinal quality in improving memory and concentration. Apparently it's also a good insect repellent.

Nikon D80 DSLR using miniature effect.

I started investigating the Lens Baby, and found a tutorial online how to mimic the effect in photoshop. It isn't perfect (the Lens Baby results are impossible to perfectly mimic in photoshop), but it's interesting nonetheless. The tutorial assumes your point of interest is the exact middle of the picture, and I couldn't figure out how to change that.

And to be honest, I was suffering symptoms of withdrawal because I hadn't posted anything to Flickr in a while.

Here is a photograph (not graphically designed but an actual photograph of an object), that brings out from my mind my own visual depiction of the Butterfly Effect.

Saturn, just one day before opposition, showing brightening of the rings, caused by the Seeliger effect or opposition surge.

Very poor seeing this year, due to Saturn's low position. Lucky to have caught this effect.

I enjoy using the pure black/white effect of the Threshold adjustment in Photoshop, but I seldom find a photo with the right distribution of tones to make it work well. This picture of the chapel in California's Bodie State Park did the trick, and adding the Book Cover 5 texture by Skeletal Mess finished the transformation.

Wife had a Transderm Scop Motion sickness patch on and this is a really weird and really rare side effect. Her left eye is completely dialated while her right eye is just the opposite

The right half of the image shows relatively unaffected tumor. On the left side, the tumor cells have abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm, massively enlarged vesicular nuclei and prominent nucleoli. Many bizarre nuclei are also seen.

First time toying around with tiled-shot on high resolution resampled down to 1920x1080, most shots came out pretty well, sadly you can see the sitch-points on some .. oh well.

Selected photo from a walkabout fashion-line shoot for EA Effect in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, October 2011. The model is Julie Hoxie. The goal of the shoot was to pick up a set of images that could be made into a fashion "look book" for EA Effect.

Orton Effect: I like the original just fine. This just gives a different perspective of the little guy, softer, yet bolder. The original was nature, this is a little more artistic.

Photos taken with camera movement to create "Monet" effect

I took this photo such a long time ago that I almost forgot about it. When I took this I was thinking about the Gursky photo which is now the most expensive photo ever purchased. I was shooting and thinking only about composition in this shot. I really like the simplicity and mood. After shooting this and processing it I really feel I can understand more about Gursky’s work. It’s really hard to come to terms with shooting something so simplistic.

Mass Effect: Andromeda takes you to the Andromeda galaxy, far beyond the Milky Way. There, you'll lead our fight for a new home in hostile territory - where WE are the aliens.

Just a simple edit, Messed around with a few layers.

Cool effect created whilst taking a picture

I'm so sick of you having this effect on me.

I'm tired of being afraid of you.

I'm angry, hurt, betrayed.

I'm replaced and forgotten.

I'm loved.

I'm wanted and needed.

I'm healing.

I'm impatient...
