Watched a fstoppers.com/cole-barash-shoots-sports-silhouettes/ earlier today which gave me a few ideas, so I decided to give it a go. Unfortunately doing silhouettes in a white room is quite hard, the light just bounces around everywhere and I couldn't get enough distance from the back wall to stop the light falling on me, so I had to do a bit of darkening in post to get the effect I wanted.

I know somebody may be able to point out some significant flaws in my lounge room kicking technique, so I'll let everybody know now that I have no martial arts skills.

Strobist: 2 x SB25's pointed at a white wall to the left & right along with a EF500 DG Super on the ground behind me, pointed up at the wall. All lights were bare at their widest zoom settings at 1/4 power.

The pink clouds are the clouds to the West that are dumping all of the snow on the lakeshore today. You can see that there are no clouds in the sky East of that :)

I am so tired.

I have a week left, then Wade goes back out to Woorabinda and I start to look after Mum full time.

She is completely off her leg for 6 weeks so during that time she will need help with things. And since I have a little one and Mum can no longer be her baby sitter, I have to give up work. My manager is a champion and fully understands that these things happen and hopefully after a couple of months I can go back a couple of nights a week, if I want.

Wade and I also talked about him going out of town for maybe a year to really save some $$$. It will be hard but anything for our future.
