This gift was given from Annakie to tokomon, read the story of getting the gift in tokomon's own words, below:
"OH MY!
That's not just any box. No sir. No sir not at all. And there's a letter addressed to "Shepard." I'd be remiss not to open it, wouldn't I? Well then... Let's see...
Let's just get the old wallet and a nearby Pinky doll (let's name her Pat for now) to hold things down for us."

#Hypnosis helps one release natural chemical brain tranquilizers. Because stress is thought by many to be a major contributing factor in numerous illnesses, hypnosis practitioners are able to effect positive results by helping people lower blood pressure, heart rate, and anxiety levels.
Hypnosis has also been proven helpful in treating such other stress related conditions as headaches, chronic pain in the neck or back, spastic colon, and cramping from premenstrual syndrome.
Want to #Quit_smoking..#lose_weight...have a better life?
Hypnosis can help!
Your sub-conscious mind is a powerful tool and when given the proper suggestions, will go to work to accomplish the goals you set for it. Even people with serious illnesses can benefit from hypnosis.
Researchers at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio found that people with cancer who used hypnosis while receiving chemotherapy felt more relaxed, better prepared for their treatment and more positive about care than those who didn't use the technique.
Visualization and other relaxation methods may produce significant benefits, often by helping to ease pain and lift depression. Research is continuing to determine whether even more spectacular results can be achieved.
Started with a color image, converted with cartoon filter on the "POP ART MACHINE" website. Tweaked it in "PS" and then converted it to vectors in "Vector Magic". Finished it with a "PS" ripple effect filter.

I was doing my grocery shopping tonight and decided to try out the zoom effect in an empty and colourful aisle. Probably would have needed a tripod (or a very steady hand), but I am happy enough with the result for a first try!
Lying in tandem hammocks at Samuel P. Taylor campgrounds with Stacy. This experience had a profound somatic effect on me. And made me want to have hammocks in my life on a regular basis.
I started investigating the Lens Baby, and found a tutorial online how to mimic the effect in photoshop. It isn't perfect (the Lens Baby results are impossible to perfectly mimic in photoshop), but it's interesting nonetheless. The tutorial assumes your point of interest is the exact middle of the picture, and I couldn't figure out how to change that.
And to be honest, I was suffering symptoms of withdrawal because I hadn't posted anything to Flickr in a while.

One of London's smallest museums, The Faraday Effect is a recreation of Michael Faraday's workshop. Faraday worked as a Scientific Advisor to Trinity House in Trinity Buoy Wharf, London for nearly 30 years. Faraday tested electric lighting in lighthouses in the 1850s.

Here is a photograph (not graphically designed but an actual photograph of an object), that brings out from my mind my own visual depiction of the Butterfly Effect.

Saturn, just one day before opposition, showing brightening of the rings, caused by the Seeliger effect or opposition surge.
Very poor seeing this year, due to Saturn's low position. Lucky to have caught this effect.

As many of you know, I had a wee and ridiculous kitchen fire last month that ended up with the most bizarre domino-effect ever. The fire was in the bottom of my oven, which I couldn't open because the drawer was jammed. The fire department had to use an axe to get it open and the insurance company gave me the money for what was supposed to be an even replacement but which actually ended up being an upgrade.
Because I had sprayed the fire extinguisher, the insurance company also paid a restoration crew to come in and clean the entire main floor top-to-bottom. They did a fantastic job, but in the process of moving my refrigerator forward to clean behind it (what? people clean behind their refrigerators?), they ripped the vinyl floor. So they said they would pay to replace it.
They had it replaced last week, and in the process of moving the fridge out of the kitchen, they damaged the hardwood floor in the living room . I've pretty much taken everything in stride up to this point, especially since everything was turning out well for us. But the hardwood damage is a real problem because there is no easy fix (it's about 1/2" wide and 3' long, against the grain, and sort of deep). To sand and refinish would require moving all furniture out of the entire main floor (because the hardwood is continuous from living room to dining to 2 bedrooms and hall!) and all of us moving out. We had hoped to put our house on the market within the next year, so we need to something more than covering it with a rug.
At any rate, here's my before and after of the kitchen. It doesn't look as dramatic as it feels. We upgraded the floor and chose a slightly darker vinyl that won't look dirty as quickly (it matches the light grey of our counters). And the range is awesome - 5 burners with continuous grates, and higher BTUs than my old one.
