Após anos e anos blasfemando contra as blythes, eu não resisti e trouxe uma pra mim. O mais irônico é que de todas as minhas cinquenta dolls, ela é a única que chegou exatamente no dia 02 de junho, ou seja, ela faz aniversário junto comigo. Como ela tem a maior cara de docinho, batizei-a com o nome de um dos meus doces prediletos: Éclair de Chocolate! :P

 

Gostaria de pedir para que a amiga MUSSE fosse madrinha da Éclair já que ela foi uma das principais pessoas a me influenciar a ter uma blythe! <3

New at Jazzfest this year from a longtime vendor, Angelo's Bakery in Metairie. This year, along with their regular offerings of brownies and macaroons were these beautiful chocolate eclairs, ice-cold out of the fridge, made with perfect choux pastry and which were instantly catapulted into the leagues of Perfect Jazzfest Food.

 

I had actually had one yesterday but ate it so fast, in such astonishment and delight, that I allowed myself no time to photograph it. The mistake was not repeated today.

 

I had one of these every day of Jazzfest save one.

Photo difficile. Il faut être à l’affût et faire les bons réglages pour réussir à photographier un éclair. Le tout sous la pluie.

Chocolate eclairs filled with vanilla bean pastry cream topped with a rich and decadent, buttery chocolate glaze made from a combination of Callebaut milk chocolate and dark chocolate.

 

These turned out -insanely- good. Straight up.

Maan, I'm just not a big fan of eclairs. I find choux pastry in general kinda "meh"...am I missing something? :(
