Yup, they are my pj's. I have just finished her. She needs bandages, beads and other things to make her funky.
Up for work. My job at the time was working in a local coffee shop, so it was important to keep my hair tied back and tidy. Banadanas work brilliantly at taming the wispy bits of fringe.
So this happened before Thanksgiving of 2014. (well, the haircut on Dec. 5th - but yeah)
Took about 35-40 hours to brush all the dreads out. I didn’t soak my hair with conditioner or anything, just put a lot of energy into combing the knots out. Didn’t find anything gross in my dreadlocks, either. No mold, no mildew, nothing. just frizzy hair from being in knots for 4 years.
4 years and 3 months with 65 dreadlocks.
This pic is from late August 2005. I put my hair up in a style called bantu knots. After I took them down a few days later, my locks were very curly. The curls lasted about a week.

We reached certain heights so fast
In a telepathic daze with you
We melt into one
You say you will never be done
Floating so sincerely
Making my time count
You got inside of me
You told me
I told you
We said it
We did it
Inside that other world
On tiptoes watching the moon
I set my dreadlocked hair with drinking straws, 2004 to make them curly: Ta-da!

As you may know my hair is VERY long, nearly long enough to sit on. I have been wanting to trim my locks to an even belly-button length but my husband asked me to not cut my hair. So I have been experimenting around with different ways to put my hair up as I am tired of my old bun style.
This is just my locks pulled back into a simple loose semi-bun. Knotted loop stopped hair from falling down but it looks very loose and casual. Hair wrap over loose hair in front. In this style hair fell to breast-length and was kept out of my way.
