11 Days to wander the northern part of Norway on my own with only my camera and a rental car to keep my company. It was a magnificent road trip that took me to the tip of Lofoten, into the winding fjords of Senja, and through the surrounding fjords. The weather was challenging most days, but also delivered incredible natural light.

you know i want CHA.

I pray for that song to play everytime i'm driving hahha, so that people can see me dancing like a madwoman- which makes them think my chances of crashing into them is greater.

The Human Spectrum: A Cinematic Exploration of Archetypes

This collection presents a series of high-concept portraits that bridge the gap between classical photographic aesthetics and contemporary digital innovation. Drawing deep inspiration from the iconic staging and dramatic lighting characteristic of Annie Leibovitz, these images explore diverse human conditions through a lens of heightened realism.

From the quiet, weathered solitude of a cellist in a decaying room to the vibrant, neon-drenched kinetic energy of a midnight sprint, each frame serves as a standalone narrative. The series meticulously plays with light—using soft sunbeams in a cluttered bedroom, harsh spotlights over a chessboard, and the cold, clinical glow of a laboratory—to evoke specific emotional responses. This work is an exercise in texture, mood, and the boundary-pushing capabilities of modern generative tools, reimagining traditional portraiture for the digital age.

I: Insomnia

Insomnia is most often defined by an individual's report of sleeping difficulties. While the term is sometimes used in sleep literature to describe a disorder demonstrated by polysomnographic evidence of disturbed sleep, insomnia is often defined as a positive response to either of two questions: "Do you experience difficulty sleeping?" or "Do you have difficulty falling or staying asleep?"

Thus, insomnia is most often thought of as both a sign and a symptom that can accompany several sleep, medical, and psychiatric disorders, characterized by persistent difficulty falling asleep and/or staying asleep or sleep of poor quality. Insomnia is typically followed by functional impairment while awake. One definition of insomnia is "difficulties initiating and/or maintaining sleep, or nonrestorative sleep, associated with impairments of daytime functioning or marked distress for more than 1 month."

Insomnia can be classified as transient, acute, or chronic.

Transient insomnia lasts for less than a week. It can be caused by another disorder, by changes in the sleep environment, by the timing of sleep, severe depression, or by stress. Its consequences - sleepiness and impaired psychomotor performance - are similar to those of sleep deprivation.

Acute insomnia is the inability to consistently sleep well for a period of less than a month.

Chronic insomnia lasts for longer than a month. It can be caused by another disorder, or it can be a primary disorder. Its effects can vary according to its causes. They might include muscular fatigue, hallucinations, and/or mental fatigue; but people with chronic insomnia often show increased alertness. Some people that live with this disorder see things as if they are happening in slow motion, wherein moving objects seem to blend together. Can cause double vision.

Not as good as yesterday's picture but I'm just lucky I did a picture at all...not really in the mood for anything today.

I've been very critical of myself lately, been nit picking at little things that bother me about myself. Some of it is my character in general and how narrow minded I can be sometimes. It's difficult for me to focus on the big picture and not just the little things that stick out.

I'm still feeling a bit uninspired lately and not taking as much photos as I used to I miss that connection with my camera as cheesy as it sounds. I know I'm just lazy Lol

I been working on my daily schedule and finding more time to get mandatory things done and finished which make's me feel better at least. I love getting through the day and know that I've completed something that I started. Anyways Happy Thursday flickr friends.

I'm packing my bags and heading to Viva Las Vegas tomorrow with the family. If anyone is in the area hit me up! :}

With the jacket on the floor, I was able to secure the peppers. I figured out that heavy duty double-sided ATG tape (the kind used for picture framing) works to stick the peppers to the jacket.

I had to stuff the jacket with a pillow, and a rolled-up towel inside the sleeves. The white cards made it easier to “cut” the peppers out of the background.

I had about 12 red peppers to work with so I laid them out in batches on the jacket, starting with the lapels. I took several photos and stitched them together.

I was looking for photographic subjects to exploit when I went with my wife to a yard sale put on by members of the Lakeside Historical Society, and found this wonderful old hat. This is just as I found with dust, creases and many flaws that add character.

Lighting stuff: I wanted side lighting because that creates the shadows that reveal textures and shapes. I hand held a YN560 in an 8.6 inch Lastolite softbox above and at camera left of the hat, pointing down towards the center. Fill light came from a large mirror at camera right. The flash in manual mode, was triggered by a Yongnuo RF-603N.

I'm calling this a still life, since I don't know what else to call it. Other still life images that I've attempted are in my Still Life album. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157635247182331/
