Europe - Iceland - West Iceland - Lonely cottage during Northern lights, also known as Aurora Borealis produced by solar wind particles guided by Earth's field lines to the top of the atmosphere
This was one of those rare nights with solar activity so strong that it was seen all the way down to south of UK or even France. It was very special & sleepless night full of wonder, if you wish to see this particular sequence (2-3 hours in few seconds) in motion, it is the ending part of this timelapse video (with many other great sights and views).

A dramatic moment of light and shadow over Namibia’s desert mountains. As the sun breaks through the cloud cover, rays of light sweep across the arid landscape, revealing the textures and vastness of one of Africa’s most spectacular wilderness regions.
A dramatic black‑and‑white scene from Burglauenen Bahnhof, where the low sun illuminates the curving rails and casts long shadows across the platform. The mountains rise steeply behind the station, their slopes catching the last light of the day. A striking interplay of industrial lines and alpine landscape in the Bernese Oberland.

If there is a place, most photographers wish to capture Northern lights, it surely must be Jökulsárlón - the Glacier Lagoon in Iceland. Very special location to visit any time of the day or year, especially when there are giant icebergs flowing into the ocean (which is not necessarily all the time). Imagine the best conditions for Northern Lights - clear sky with millions of stars reflected on perfectly mirror like surface of the lagoon, no wind, temperature just below freezing, then you get I what I got last time around.
Timelapse movies had become my new way of capturing my travels besides regular photography.

A group of Maori warrior performers executes a powerful haka on a black sand beach at sunset, their expressions fierce and unified as waves crash behind them under a dramatic golden sky
This was started in Night Cafe. I then put it into Photoshop, where used Camera Raw to enhance clarity, color, and tone.

IC 2083 Hamburg-Altona - Berchtesgaden Hbf
Kein Nebel in Sicht.

Europe - UK - United Kingdom - Scotland - Eastern Scottish coast - Lunan bay - Stunning east-facing beach backed by sand dunes and framed by low cliffs
Timelapse movies had become my new way of capturing my travels besides regular photography. Latest trip in Scotland had been very challenging in regards to very bad weather conditions, however I still managed to capture some places without being flown away by gale strong winds or washed down by apocalyptic rain. Captured inside the botanical garden, this orchid stood out immediately against the darker background. The deep crimson petals felt almost velvety in the light, with subtle white edges outlining each bloom. I am always drawn to contrast. Light against shadow. Color against depth. This one felt both dramatic and refined at the same time.

Europe - Finland - Suomi - North of the Arctic Circle - Finnish Lapland - Lappland - Lapponia under fresh cover of snow during winter time
No single Northern Lights photo does true justice to what is happening on the sky during those unique moments when Northern Lights appear. After incredible experience of capturing my first ever timelapse in Iceland last year, I've headed to Frozen land of Arctic Lapland to capture Northern Lights under snowy landscape, which is often difficult to find along the coast. Average temperatures around - 25C dont make it particularly friendly experience, but the one which will always be treasured.

A powerful studio portrait capturing a moment suspended between strength and vulnerability. The subject’s intense gaze, the textured curls, the shine of the patent coat, and the clutching hands all speak volumes — yet nothing is said aloud. Shadows and contrast elevate the emotional charge of the frame, making silence a central element of the story.
————————
soft opening. new studio. two lenses, one question: how close can you get before a face becomes landscape? testing the sigma 135mm f/1.4 art on leica sl3 against the sony 135mm f/1.8 gm on a7rv. the verdict will come - blog review and video are in the works. but some answers don’t need pixels or charts. they’re in the pores, the light caught in an iris, the terrain of years written into skin. proximity is not intimacy. intimacy is what remains when you strip away the safe distance. first frames from a new chapter.

Europe - Portugal - Portuguese archipelago - Madeira Island - East Coast - Ponta de São Lourenço - Sao Lourenco - Nature Reserve with wonderful panoramic views of the Atlantic and spectacular volcanic rock formations
Month of June with its longest days offers wonderful fully lit rocky shore by setting sun on the other side, that said if you are lucky and have a sun light at all. Madeira weather can be really playful and the island often hides in large clouds. I waited on this spot for 3 hours, just in case the sun showed up for short period of time. This wonderful light lasted only for 10 mins at the end of the long cloudy wait.

A desert-adapted African elephant strides across wind-sculpted dunes in the golden light of Namibia’s arid wilderness. Dust rises beneath its feet as it moves with quiet strength through one of the most dramatic landscapes in Africa.
The title encapsulates a precise and severe biological reality where two distinct physical dysfunctions amplify one another, subject to a constant state of bodily attrition. From a scientific standpoint, having the body perpetually wet due to hyperhidrosis forces the skin into a continuous process of forced evaporative cooling. Evaporation is the body’s most efficient mechanism for heat dissipation; for every liter of sweat that evaporates, the organism loses approximately 580 kilocalories. In a healthy individual, this mechanism serves to cool down the body during physical exertion; however, in chronic hyperhidrosis, this process never shuts off, causing a continuous and uncontrolled drop in superficial core temperature, regardless of ambient conditions. To compensate for this massive, unyielding heat loss and to stabilize internal temperature (homeostasis), the organism is driven into an immense metabolic overload. Under normal circumstances, the lungs actively assist in thermoregulation through respiration. Yet, in the presence of a severely compromised respiratory system or post-pneumothorax sequelae, air reserves and gaseous exchange efficiency are drastically diminished. The pulmonary system lacks the baseline strength to sustain this unrelenting energetic demand, while the constant cooling induced by the wet skin forces the airways to constrict, exacerbating physical fatigue, tightness, and organic wear. Consequently, the water armor ceases to be a mere visual metaphor and turns into a real clinical stressor, crushing the body’s innate ability to defend its own breath.
