Seen from Borge in Fredrikstad, Østfold, this image captures the striking boundary between two contrasting weather systems. To the left, a dense wall of dark clouds signals rain, hail, and thunder, while to the right, calmer skies open into soft light and patches of blue. The line between instability and calm is almost tangible, revealing the dynamic nature of spring weather in southeastern Norway. Moments like this highlight how quickly conditions can change, where multiple seasons seem to unfold within the same horizon. It is a brief but powerful reminder of the atmosphere in motion constantly shifting, balancing between chaos and clarity.

Fun fact:

Sharp weather boundaries like this are often caused by a convergence of different air masses, where cold and warm air collide, creating dramatic cloud formations and sudden shifts in weather conditions.

Europe - UK - England - Cornwall - Land's End - Penn an Wlas - Pedn an Wlas - Mainland Britain's most westerly point and one of the country's most famous landmarks, with 200 foot high granite cliffs that rise out of the Atlantic Ocean

End of May or June are great months to visit this wonderful special place as the sun set north enough to appear behind the arch, plus the wonderful Sea Pink or Purple Sea Thrift Flower is in full bloom everywhere along the cliffs. All you need is just the right amount of clouds for bit of color and not too much wind which somehow seem to be part of this dramatic location at all times.

Guilty as charged - one of the most photographed locations on Lofoten, but I simply could not help myself, because if there is A place to stay in Lofoten, it surely must be these cabins which might look like those traditional fisherman cabins from outside... but they are no longer anything like that inside. Wonderful interior, very different from when we stayed there 10 years ago.

Europe - UK - England - Cornwall - Bodmin Moor - Cheesewring (Keuswask) near Minions - Granite tor on Stowe's Hill - Natural geological formation, rock outcrop of granite slabs formed by weathering. The name derives from resemblance of piled slabs to "cheesewring", press-like device that was once used to make cheese

This was one of those incredible sunsets that any photographer dreams about, especially as it seemingly came out of nowhere after a long dull day. It just shows, it is always good to be ready and out there ! Unfortunately it was so super windy that it would have been impossible to use tripod for steady shots at low ISO. I always love those weather forecast descriptions - they called it a "fresh breeze" ! I wonder what "strong wind" would feel like. I could hardly keep my feet on the ground, so all photos had to be taken hand held while praying they'll be sharp enough !

Monday started as a very unassuming day. Patchy light clouds drifted across with bright sunshine, not all that exciting.

My hike started at Edale station, made its way up and over Grindslow Knoll and along to Crowden Tower. I've always loved the shape and form of Crowden Tower, something about it just "works" for me in a photograph, quite elegant and serpent-like in its appearance.

The "not all that exciting" turned into very exciting quite quickly, the cloud thickened and powerful crepuscular rays started punching their way through, bathing the landscape in brilliant light. My thought process with this photograph was quite simple; get as much of the col and as much of the drama in as possible. To that end I shot the photo as a five exposure panorama resulting in this slightly cropped down 16x5.

the sea was loud but she walked through it as if wrapped in a different frequency. the clouds stacked above portixol like unwritten sentences – heavy with meaning, uncertain in tone. in the brief flicker of dusk, her jacket caught the last sigh of light, glowing like defiance against the incoming night. this was not just a walk. it was punctuation between two storms.

Light makes all the difference - by day only a boring beech grove, at night correspondingly illuminated a gate to fantasy land

in the heart of new york’s oculus, light weaves through steel like a modern cathedral’s embrace. two figures, grounded yet small, walk in the space, dwarfed by the sweeping curves and sheer height above. they move in unison, caught in the rhythm of this architectural marvel, each step mirroring the structure’s vastness around them.

Si tratta di un edificio religioso risalente al XIV secolo, noto per la sua cupola caratteristica.

La chiesa è posizionata in un luogo panoramico mozzafiato, proprio sul ciglio di uno strapiombo con vista sul mare.

The weather in Faroe Islands keeps reminding me one funny T-shirt they sell in Iceland - "If you dont like the weather, wait for 5 mins" It is exactly how our days are like... this was literally 5 mins break before huge rain fell on us. Luckily the car was nearby.
