This project captures a sweeping view of Esk Valley, Lake District, where broken clouds throw shifting shadows over rugged fells, winding dry stone walls and a lone tree standing guard in the green.
Shot on a Leica D-Lux 7, I composed with the open meadow in the foreground to lead the eye up the valley towards the distant peaks. In Photoshop I enhanced the contrast between sunlit slopes and deep shadow to add drama and depth, keeping the tones and colours natural.
