Just before the world wakes up, light begins to carve its way through the mountains and across the still water. The bridge waits in silence, suspended between darkness and the first breath of day. A quiet promise, barely whispered, that morning is coming.

Montreal Otakuthon 2019

The ridges stood in quiet dialogue, trading stories shaped by wind and shadow. I felt like an intruder and a guest at once, walking below their solemn watch as beams of light broke through the clouds, turning the valley into something almost sacred

Warm golden light slips under a cloud bank and spills across buttes and terraces, carving a bright diagonal through the canyon while snow-dusted rim and deep shadows cool the scene.

Her gaze is velvet gravity -unavoidable, soft, but irresistible. It doesn’t demand; it invites. The moment your eyes lock with hers, time begins to bend around suggestion, the edges of thought blurring into her whispered cadence. Her voice curls around your mind like warm silk, and suddenly, you’re not quite sure whose desires you’re following anymore. Is it hers - or yours, now rewritten by the rhythm of her intention?

She doesn’t need to wave a pocket watch or count backward. Her eyes do the counting, the leading, the rewriting. Behind them isn’t just darkness; it’s choreography. A slow dance of surrender dressed in azure stares. And all she says is, “Look into my eyes,”- as if that alone weren’t already everything.

Seen from Borge in Fredrikstad, Østfold, this image captures the striking boundary between two contrasting weather systems. To the left, a dense wall of dark clouds signals rain, hail, and thunder, while to the right, calmer skies open into soft light and patches of blue. The line between instability and calm is almost tangible, revealing the dynamic nature of spring weather in southeastern Norway. Moments like this highlight how quickly conditions can change, where multiple seasons seem to unfold within the same horizon. It is a brief but powerful reminder of the atmosphere in motion constantly shifting, balancing between chaos and clarity.

Fun fact:

Sharp weather boundaries like this are often caused by a convergence of different air masses, where cold and warm air collide, creating dramatic cloud formations and sudden shifts in weather conditions.

The clouds briefly opened above the snow-covered mountains near Grønfjordbreen in Svalbard.

the room was quiet. outside, the city was a distant hum of traffic. but inside, there was only the wooden table and the light that cut through the darkness. he did not speak. there was nothing left to say. the truth had a weight, a physical presence in the air. it sat there, between them, on the polished wood.

A dramatic moment at the southern foothills of the Jura near Oensingen, as a cold front approached in the afternoon.

Between heavy clouds and shifting light, the first trees have already turned into a vivid fresh green, standing out against the still bare forest.

A quiet but powerful sign that spring is now rapidly taking over the landscape.

a fleeting embrace caught in razor-sharp light—her silhouette softly dissolves, while his eye remains, unwavering and clear. the whole story lives in that one glance: instinctive, trusting, entirely present.

Moment captured at Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners, Wisconsin. USA

I didn’t mean to end up here.

One second I was walking like normal… the next, the air changed. It got colder. Heavier. Like my lungs forgot how to breathe for a second and my skin could feel the dark pressing in from every direction.

I swear I heard it before I saw it… that low, distant hum. Like something was alive underneath the floor. Like the walls were listening.

And then it happened.

The ground didn’t crack. It didn’t break. It just… gave up.

Like the world decided I didn’t belong on the safe side anymore.

I fell—

Not like a normal fall either. More like being pulled. Dragged. Swallowed.

And when I opened my eyes again… everything was wrong.

The shadows were thicker here.

The fog clung to my legs like it was trying to keep me.

And those twisted roots… curling, reaching… like they were waiting for me to move the wrong way.

I could feel the Upside Down watching.

That’s when I realized the only thing I could control was me.

If I was going to survive in a place like this, I couldn’t look scared… I had to look like I belonged here.

So I did.

I straightened up, fixed my stance, and let the darkness see exactly what it dragged in.

Not prey. Not a victim.

A threat. 💜

And honestly?

The deeper I went, the more it felt like this place wasn’t trying to scare me away…

…it was trying to claim me.

Shot in bold monochrome from the Brooklyn Bridge, this image captures the jagged Manhattan skyline behind a grid of suspension cables. The sun blazes through the haze, flattening the skyline into silhouette and casting the whole scene in stark contrasts. The convergence of structure and skyline creates a layered tension—geometry meets chaos, light meets shadow.
