Light and shadow dance across the Cuillin Hills, painting the rugged beauty of the Isle of Skye. One of those moments where nature feels both calm and untamed.
The impressive and very well kept lighthouse on Eilean Musdile, Just off the South end of the Isle of Lismore in the Sound of Mull, I've shot this a fair few times now but the conditions were simply perfect on this day with the dramatic lighting falling on the building, and the extremely menacing clouds above moving quickly along between heavy rain showers providing a moody backdrop against the hills.

We were up in Tagaytay for the weekend and I took this shot from the park railings around sunset time. The tripod was there but the light was changing fast so I didn't use it. I held the camera steady as I could while the wind was picking up a bit. The sky had those orange and gray clouds going on, and you could see the whole landscape below with houses and buildings spread out everywhere. There's tall grass and plants in the foreground that were swaying around, and the view stretches pretty far back to some distant hills. The lighting worked out okay since I caught it right before it got too dark.

Ein kleiner Waldteich, nur fünf Autominuten und zwei Kilometer zu Fuß von meinem Zuhause entfernt.
Als ich dort ankam, lag der Teich bereits im Schatten, bis auf eine einzige Stelle, die noch von der späten Sonne beschienen wurde. An diesem warmen Ort saß ein Kormoran und genoss ruhig die letzten Sonnenstrahlen des Tages.
Ich fühlte mich vollkommen frei – frei, zu bleiben, frei, zu beobachten und frei, einfach nur den Moment zu genießen.
