These are surprisingly large and hefty, in a commercial kind of way, and nicely textured. Also they're the regular kind with the seeds, and I like the seeds, oddly enough.

They're about 7-8 cm long, apparently these are eaten when 10-12 cm long, so we shouldn't have to wait for much longer, I'd hope! Can the weather please just warm up now?!

marinate:
seedless sliced cucumbers
mince parsley
pepper strips
red onions, thin sliced
Heat cider vinegar with salt, pepper, sugar to taste
Pour over the vegetables
A heirloom from Croatia, yet having traveled from a seed collector in Germany to a seed company in the US. These chubby fruits are mild, bitter free and sweet tasting. Another high producer.
Similar shape as the female flower.
This is a Chinese variety, from my hometown. It will grow to as big as the English Cucumber, but with lots of tiny thorns on the skin, and the inside is jade green, very crunchy and sweet. I think it's the best cucumber on earth!
i planted spacemasters and lemon cucumbers on the same hill like a moron. now i know this one is a spacemaster at least.
The weather changed from cool rain to late afternoon sun. I found this cucumber beetle looking for a sunset snack.
