Take cucumbers and onions - actually I used six cucumbers and three onions but they were already cooking by the time I realised I hadn't taken a 'raw ingredients' photo. So I had to use 'body doubles' ...

Our first night with Hendrick's Gin which is infused with an odd mixture of cucumber and rose petal. Substitute a cucumber for a lime and you'll be in gin heaven. You might be thinking that you hate cucumbers. Yes, I feel the same way. Cucumbers and I have been sworn enemies since my birth, but trust me. Try it with the cuc.

First attempt at pickling cucumbers and carrots was a tasty success.

Our friend A., who lives in NJ, grows an amazing cucumber!

One of the salads for Macy's party. Cucumber salad with Persian cucumbers and onion that were quick pickled with lime juice, honey and fish sauce.

This was taken at Golden Mile Complex, Singapore.

They are small in size, but very sweet and refreshing.

My first ever cucumber growing in my garden

Aka Suyo Long. A heirloom from China. Shape is unique...ribbed and very slim. Spines wipe off easy. Long green fruits are mild, sweet and burpless. Production will be all at once, once they start arriving later in the season.
