Here's a comparison photo. I know I found photos like these to be very useful when I was buying part for my dolls, so I'm hoping this will be useful for someone else.

A huge number of children is being ignored from the love of their mother due to many reasons. They don't contain any identity as well, as they have no family. They can't express the happiness in the occasions and festivals as the other normal children does. No one even looks at them. The picture above shows the comparison between the two which is ignored by us everyday. This is sad, but true. The ignored comparison is going on and is increasing everyday.

Pictures were taken in natural, indirect sunlight.
Adding more into the colour-comparisons mix, I've now included multiple beta DNG profiles and the default rendering from Canon's own latest version of Digital Photo Professional.
I'm actually quite impressed by the beta DNG profile's results. On the Camera Standard setting (not the Adobe Standard setting), they seem to be just a touch more saturated than the standard DPP rendering, yet retain the same general colouring as DPP.
The Rags and Chromoholics calibrations both appear to over-saturate the reds to varying degrees, while also flattening the specular highlights on the car to be almost completely white, vs. the highlights on the others rendering a warmer orange.
Still worth noting that the fluorescent lights of the scene could be a key factor in throwing off the colour rendering from the calibrations (which were based on bright sunlight), but certainly for minimal hassle the new beta DNG profiles look very promising: better than DPP and far better than the old Camera Raw profiles.
The beta DNG profiles are available here:
- labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/DNG_Profiles
(Note: you will need Lightroom 2.0 (non-beta) or Camera Raw 4.5 to use them.)
For the calibrated versions, I rather prefer the Rags version of the ACR Calibrator as it seems the Chromoholics version has far over-saturated the red (to the point where the specular highlights are even lost). The difference between the two, if I understand the detailed technical language, is that the Rags version attempts to find the best changes to the primary colour channels while averaging the best results across all colour patches. The Chromoholics version, on the other hand, only pays any attention to the primary colour patches and optimises those, without any apparent regard for the rest of the colour patches.
Perhaps even one step better will be to create a customized profile with the new restructured DNG profiling combined with a ColorChecker chart:

(Look for an update on that later...)
Totally didn't realize that I didn't upload my box opening + comparisons onto Flickr.

I always love comparison shots!
Always thought Mew Gulls were so small, but never saw one next to a Bonaparte's. A bonus to have a Ring-billed next to the Mew Gull so you can see the progression in size.
Bonaparte's Gulls are very tiny!! They actually seem more tern-like to me than gulls.

Name: Toa Krayan
Aliases: Chains
Element: Telekinesis
Colours: Blue, Silver, Gold and Black. (Formally brown)
Personality: Serious, Brutal, Unforgiving, Keeps to himself, will protect his loved ones at all costs.
Bio: Originally from Mata Nui. Krayan lived most of his matoran life as a early settler to Quaza Magna. He witnessed the murder of a toa. The dying toa gave Krayan a toa stone in his last moments. The other toa, thinking Krayan killed the toa, tracked him down. By the time they found him, Krayan had already activated the toa stone. Krayan was sent to the newly rebuilt Pit, the prison where criminals who committed unforgivable crimes were banished to. There, he made friends with a then toa prison guard named Lavok and convinced him that he didn't kill the toa. Krayan also adopted the name Chains there as he was always restrained him with Chains as they were scared of his toa powers. Chains escaped the prison and went to find the person who killed the toa that gave Chains his toa stone. After defeating him, Mata Nui re-awoke and cleared Chains' name. After serving a long time as a toa. His brother, Maku, went missing. Chains got horrifically mutilated and brutalized. Toa Hydro, rebuilt his body and Chains continued fighting the Followers. After the death of Mata Nui, Chains became unforgiving. He stated that he was not a toa anymore and subsequently killed Lewax. After the battle, Chains became the leader of the remaining toa (Now named Hunters.) He fought against many rogue matoran survivors and remaining Shadow Mutants. Chains went to a dark place and became very protective of himself and the other Hunters. An army of Matoran survivors decided to attack the Hunters, known as the MRG, and tried to rid them from existence. Chains' ultimate goal is to return to Spherus Magna.

Thanks so much for reading guys! This is the debut of Chains on Flickr and the TTV Message Boards. Anyway, I really like this version. Please leave C&C to help me improve. Thanks guys, and I'll see you next time!
Soo what does the Transmilenio cost? The early phase was $5.3 million USD/ km.. For comparison LRTs can range about $15 to $45 million USD/km. More recent phases improvements have cost more (fancy terminals, etc), but for the price of a bare-bones LRT one can have an extremely feature-rich BRT (proper enclosed stations that are universally accessible, pre-paid boarding, etc).
So what about capacity? Well here's a surprising tidbit of information:
The Transmilenio has a capacitiy of over 40,000 ppdph (people per direction, per hour, on a single line. By comparison something like Vancouver BC's new Airport Line has been specified to for a maximum 25,000 ppdph.
The Vancouver line is costing over $200 million per km - but at least it is fully above or below grade and will never suffer from traffic light breaks, or slow-operation-in-the-city like many at grade LRTs. Vancouver at least skipped the surface LRT costs and went straight underground.
How about speed? The average speed of the Transmilenio 26 kmph - not so shabby either.

Last week me and 2 friends decided to bid together on these 3 mysterious Blythes. So we could each get one. We didn't expect to win the auction, but we did! Now we're trying to find out what they are. I took a lot of comparison pics, with the other Blythe mold I own. They seem to have BL/EBL face (apart from eye holes shape), BL hair (first releases, Parco & Mondrian) but the scalps are painted to the edge (protype?). And their eye holes are identical to Kenner. The eye mech looked like an ADG eye-mech (smaller iris, and similar colours), till we found out that they have a black eye mech (t-bar and he other parts that are white in takara and adg). So now we're not so sure anymore. Could they be BL (Mondrain & Parco) prototypes? They are also on the Licca body.

Another comparison image with the mystery mandible on top. Middle is a sheep Ovis aries, a ewe which was my first ever sheep skull, collected on 6 March 1971, and which carries my 14 year old handwriting as an aide memoire from when I was learning the parts of the skull bones. The lower mandible is an immature Fallow deer (Dama dama). Note the tricuspid premolar. All seen in the buccal aspect.

A comparison of the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 F mount and Tokina 500mm f/8 mirror Pentax K mount with Nikon F mount adapter both on a Nikon D90.
The Tamron was taken at 50mm from about 0.5m then cropped in whilst the Tokina, fixed at 500mm, was taken from around 5m with no cropping. Both with SB-26 from camera to light.
As you can see, the difference is very noticeable, with the sharpness and contrast of the mirror lens being no match to the Tamron refractive lens, especially as the Tamron is cropped in so far.
The only justifications I can find for the use of the 500mm mirror would be over long distances that just aren't possible to cross, such as for use in sports or astronomical photos and the fact it's only cost me £8 for the lens and £15 for the K/F mount adapter with correcting element against the £320 I paid for my 17-50mm 2.8
I also really like the Bokeh from mirror lenses. I hear a lot of people moaning about it not being an accurate representation of the subjects or else just being distracting, but I think it has to be seen as an artistic tool to been planned into photos.
Just a quick little height comparison of my three dolly types, because I realized I've done one with Fable and Nori and one with Fable and an AG but never all three.
For those who don't know:
Nori is a Feeple60 (55 cm tall)
Davis is an American Girl (18 in. tall)
Fable is a Littlefee (25 cm/ 9 in. tall)
