The woman in the right frame was a model at the recent Gearcon 2011 in Portland, Oregon. After the fashion show she and the rest of the models stepped into the lobby to catch as much of a breath of air as their corsets would allow. I snapped this photo of her when she really wasn't paying attention to me. Yet compare her expression (their mouths), clothing and setting to Toulouse-Laurtec's "La Goulue Arriving at the Moulin Rouge with Two Women."
History repeats itself!
Both dolls are Volks SD-01, "Four Sisters". I love capturing how the same doll looks so different with a change of wigs and/or make-up.
My doll (on the right) was an FCS, and she's wearing another Val Zeitler outfit. It doesn't really fit the SD-10 body ~ but you can't tell from the front. Boots from Mimiwoo, BTW.

Personally I find the m-line body to be the best poser and the most stable. However, I really enjoy the aesthetic of the f-line body.

A simple comparison shot between my two latest DCUC Figure acquisitions and my current DCSH figures.
The DCUC Line supersedes the previous line but the scale remains the same so they are compatible.
My best guess for why my 3G boots slower than my original iPhone is that my 3G has far more apps installed (8 home screen pages on the 3G, 3 pages on the EDGE iPhone). But my new 3G S has just about the exact same set of apps installed as the 3G, so I think the comparison is fair.
Rokinon 21mm on top Fujinon 23mm on bottom. Lower left corner of images. The problem with this comparison is the Fuji is corrected in camera in this jpg while the Rokinon is not. I need to reshoot this using the raw images with the lens profile for the Fuji turned off.
The Rokinon for the money is a good deal.
EDITED VERSION: Cropped, enlarged, lightened, sharpened. Normally I would just save over the original, but occasionally I save fresh edits, for comparison purposes.
Remember HQ? Before Home Depot and Lowe's became the force that they are, there was Builder's Square (owned by K-Mart, yes?) and Home Quarters.
HQ was green everywhere that Home Depot is orange. This store was already closed by 1997, because I worked for Taco Bell nearby, and saw it in utter desolation.
Now it is used by Wal-Mart for a display and fixture warehouse.

2). ROME - 'Ivan and Hayley' revealed! Tourist who carved his name into Colosseum wall is a fitness instructor who lives in Bristol (and Italian police would like to have a word with him…). Daily Mail, U.K., (29/06/2023).
Bulgarian born Ivan, 27, [= Ivan Dimitrov, 27, allegedly] was in Rome with his long-term girlfriend Hayley Bracey - Rome officials were furious at the vandalism and vowed to track the culprit down.
In a statement released this afternoon a spokesman for the Carabinieri said: 'Following investigations, subsequent to the complaint presented by the Colosseum Park Authority, the Carabinieri of the Command of Rome Piazza Venezia, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor of Rome, have identified, through traditional investigations and photographic comparison, the person seriously suspected of be responsible for engraving his own name and that of his partner, at the Colosseum, filming the scene, then published on social media.
'The Carabinieri have ascertained that it is a couple, man and woman, residing in England.
'It should be noted that the proceeding is in the preliminary investigation phase, therefore the suspect must consider himself innocent until a final sentence is issued.'
Meanwhile in a statement Culture Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano said: 'I am grateful to the Arma dei Carabinieri for having promptly identified the alleged perpetrator of the uncivilized and absurd act committed at the Colosseum.
'An act that has offended all those throughout the world who appreciate the value of archaeology, monuments and history.
'Now I hope that justice will take its course by rigorously applying the laws. If it comes to a trial, the Ministry of Culture will appear as a civil party'.

LONDRA. Eccolo, il turista che ha sfregiato il Colosseo incidendo sui muri millenari dell’Anfiteatro Romano i nomi “Ivan and Hailey, 23”. Ebbene Ivan, ossia colui che si è macchiato dell’oltraggio che potrebbe costargli carissimo, sarebbe il 27enne Ivan Dimitrov: un ragazzo bulgaro nato a Roma. Mentre Hailey sarebbe la fidanzata inglese Hayley Bracey, 33 anni.
A sostenerlo è un’esclusiva del Daily Mail. Ivan Dimitrov, che avrebbe anche un secondo cognome (Hawkins), sarebbe un fitness trainer che lavora a Bristol e che in passato ha fatto anche il fattorino. Hayley Bracey, invece, avrebbe un’azienda nel settore dell’alimentazione sportiva. I due, sempre secondo il tabloid, vivrebbero alla periferia di Bristol, a Keynsham, non lontano dalla palestra Longwell Green dove Dimitrov lavora.
La coppia però al momento non si troverebbe in Inghilterra. Secondo alcuni muratori ascoltati dal Daily Mail che stanno lavorando a casa di Dimitrov e Bracey i due “sono andati via la scorsa settimana e non torneranno prima di 15 giorni. Ci hanno detto che stanno girando l’Europa”.
Una fonte dei carabinieri dall'Italia conferma al tabloid: “Sono entrambi residenti nel Regno Unito, abbiamo identificato l’uomo, non ancora la donna. Il primo è di origine bulgara, la seconda britannica”. La madre di Harley smentisce: “Non è possibile, mia figlia non può aver fatto una cosa del genere, non lo farebbe mai”.

Here's just a quick comparison of some of the different slide films I cross processed when I developed color film the other day. They were developed in pretty much the same manner - using a Unicolor C-41 kit with the same times and temps.
On the left side is the way the film scanned in the Epson V500 without any color correction, and on the right side is the way the films look after they've been inverted in Photoshop and had their levels adjusted to achieve more contrast.
If I would have been really cool, I would have taken a picture of the same subject using the same camera with all the different films, but that wasn't possible (and I don't care that much). Just thought it was interesting how drastically different the negative colorations came out. I'd also be interested in seeing if the film format alters the color of the negative, too - if 35mm Fuji Velvia comes out the same as the 4x5 sheet film.
This is the 2nd build of the Sky Hawk. This version is alot closer to the original GIJOE Sky Hawk. Which is where I drew my inspiration from for the build.
