Nikon D200 photo for comparison with Canon G10. Late afternoon, shade WB, RAW files matched approx. for color and contrast. 1/10 sec, f/8, ISO 400, 17-55mm f/2.8 Nikkor @31mm. The G10 photo shot a few minutes earlier with no wind was 1/4 sec, f/5, ISO 80, 10.8 mm. A very gentle breeze ruined the D200 1/4 sec shots @ISO 100 taken just after the calm G10 shots.
Saved from Nikon Capture NX 2.1 as .tiff. Sharpened in PaintShop Pro & saved as .jpg w/ minimal compression.

As one can see, the original was lacking contrast and had a blue tint on it, all thanks to a mist/smoke that filled the air.
There is such a HUGE difference seeing them side by side... I love her new sweet little grin, there is definitely room for improvement but I'm pretty happy since its my first try!
Hours Laters ...At 6 pm I grabbed Maria and said lets go to the park . I had to take a comparison shot...it is so nice out..9 hours later :)
But this morning at 9 am it was a different story...
LED backlighting with IPS panels has clearly superior image quality
compared to even a nice older model CCFL backlit TN panel.
Male and female flowers are carried on separate plants; male flowers are carried on erect spikes containing several flowers while female flowers are carried on short stalks directly off the main stem. A hand lens is a useful tool since flowers of both sexes are only about 4mm across.

I wanted to fix these in Photoshop, but my computer broke last week and I don't have it on my replacement computer yet. So as far as comparisons go they are not as good as I wanted them to be.
