After watering the garden this evening, I noticed how pretty the micro sized water drops looked on the hanging basket of fuchsias with buds. The early sunset light glinting through the water drops, reflecting the bright crimson of the buds.
Taxis in Japan are a fun experience. Never have I encountered such professional and attentive service! Japanese taxi drivers take their jobs super seriously.

Two external flashes, remotely triggered.
One placed closed to the hands to provide focused illumination to hands and the marbles, power set to 1/128th, one placed away and pointed at a wall to reflect lights and provide uniform lighting.

This is the view we had, from the apartment we stayed in, when we went to Airlie Beach, for my daughter’s wedding, in December.
This effect is called a splash of colour.
Have a great day/night, dear friends!

A few more quick, rough, shot from the hip people watching pics from the snowy Meadows yesterday. Normally I stick to monochrome for my street shots, but it felt better to shoot in colour, perhaps because with the snow everything was a bit too black and white already and the colour splashes were needed, I'm not sure, but I generally just go on gut instinct for street photography.

This is not post processing selective colour. This was how it was. In this otherwise monochromatic scene the waiting man made a striking splash of colour which caught my eye.
With the Mon Calamari cruiser bridge completed, I immediately got the idea to use some specialised sand purple parts for some kind of engine room or engineering station within the ship. I think the sand purple makes for a nice colour splash and has a fitting "aquatic" vibe.
The bridge module can be stacked securely on top of the engine room to save some shelf space.
My facebook post read "It's gonna be an EPIC sunset tonight!!"... as I raced down to the beach after work on Friday night with my gear ;-) I was right!!! my camera didn't know what to do with all the color!! It certainly was EPIC and one of the most magical I have ever seen. I hope you'all are having a good weekend and out having lots of fun and taking lots of photos this summer! I know I have....! Looking forward to slowing down a little and hoping to be afforded time to catch up with all your holidays/ vacations/ posts!!
Thanks as always, for your Flickr LOVE!!!
