A bash at another photo I've seen. Didn't quite turn out how I wanted.

A bit of colour splash editing from my time in London last week.

At the terminus of Clovenstone, Volvo B5LH / Gemini 3 number 584 (SJ67 MGV) 'Fab U Bus' is in celebration of LGBT Pride Edinburgh. During the summer months it worked mostly the three 'local' airport services numbers 200, 300 and 400, but from August it has been working on other Longstone routes - I am still waiting to see it on the 36 and must ask Richard the Great if that can be arranged!

Gemini 3 Hybrid 584 is in partnership with Pride Edinburgh and Lothian is now the organisation's transport partner, helping to promote equality and diversity in and around the capital city.

584's rainbow colour splash has been designed by Lothian's in-house design team and gifted to Pride Edinburgh at the Scotia March in June. It's a real favourite of the public and enthusiasts everywhere.

A heated debate was close to boiling point.

Lovely to see. Proud parents watch their toddler set off on an adventure on the cobbles.

Daring to dream and 1966 is on this changing room at St George's Park near Burton. Hope the England team do well.

Girl taking a selfie at the Sensoji temple. The thing that makes me laugh the most about this photo and why I choose to do the colour splash in post is that her cell phone case is made to look like McDonalds french fries and she is dressed like that too! Amazing people watching.

Flax lily or Dianella looks bright red and yellows in our garden in the glow of sunset this evening. The warm and calm evening making great light for photography.

I've been after the Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II Tilt-Shift lens for some time now and finally got my hands on one. The weather's been miserable this weekend so I resorted to testing it out in my conservatory, and being a bit creative with some colour splash.

The lens shifts 12mm either side, this shot was only shifted 10mm either side and up/down. No distortion or fringing and incredibly sharp. Not played around with the tilt yet.

Across the Sound of Mull.

Trundle and lumber the superb Loch Sunart

to the isolated but incomparable

A beam of light breaks the cloud-cover

and “super-troupers” the ancient

volcanic slopes of Ben Hiant.

Triangular flashes of colour splash the scene.

Skimming, dancing, darting yachts

brighten the five-mile channel,

beneath the vibrant green dykes, sills and former lava flows

of a long extinct supervolcano.
