Blyth, Northumberland

It's been almost a year since Kermit was around last time, and now he's back! He had kindly and obviously come to where we met last year to visit me today, but as a pretty unobservant person at the best of times, I didn't see him. So he waited until I took off my jersey - and was literally just about to hang it on this very rock as usual - he jumped up and sat on this very spot as if to say, "Here I am, you blind buffoon!" After a bit of a chat about our offspring and how life was treating us, he decided he'd had enough for one day and hopped away on his merry way; then I was about to have a refreshing swim... but another of this jungle's regulars was about to change my plan... (image coming soon).

A neighbourhood in Santiago de Chile, famous for its night life and graffiti. In the photo I have tried to capture the silence and lifelessness in the streets during the hot spring/summer days in contrast to the vibrancy and colours that are waiting to come alive at night.

299/365 Kids made these colourful sun catchers at daycare. It is beautiful to look through them.

With the Mon Calamari cruiser bridge completed, I immediately got the idea to use some specialised sand purple parts for some kind of engine room or engineering station within the ship. I think the sand purple makes for a nice colour splash and has a fitting "aquatic" vibe.

The bridge module can be stacked securely on top of the engine room to save some shelf space.

WAH are visiting thrift stores or as they are known in the UK 'charity shops'.

I was bought up buying clothes from these shops and I still happily spend hours in them looking for clothes, books, stuff and most importantly photo props.

I was delighted to pick this up a while back with an ice hockey stick too. Who knows what this was doing in a charity shop in Cornwall!

only used once in a flickr photo but.....

also for 97/117 unwanted (by someone else!)

The last couple of weeks there have been many beautiful red admirals (Vanessa atalanta), feeding on the rugosa rose hips at the beach where we live.

A nice last summer-like experience before everything is withered.

War is endless, it brings long lasting terrors, permanent scars and even death to the world. This is the cost of our Prides, we refuse to 'let go' of our weapons, shields and armors.

War will continue, unless we learn to sacrifice our weapons, shields and armor.

We must demonstrate 'peace' by showing the 'peace' within ourselves in order to request the peace in others.

* LGBTIQA+ is an evolving acronym that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer/questioning, asexual. Many other terms (such as non-binary and pansexual) that people use to describe their experiences of their gender, sexuality and physiological sex characteristics. Not forgetting male and female.

A bright red begonia in a hanging basket glow in the soft evening light at sunset tonight

A few more quick, rough, shot from the hip people watching pics from the snowy Meadows yesterday. Normally I stick to monochrome for my street shots, but it felt better to shoot in colour, perhaps because with the snow everything was a bit too black and white already and the colour splashes were needed, I'm not sure, but I generally just go on gut instinct for street photography.

Just playing with shutter speed....

Johanne's room faces north and it was dark and a bit grim before. I have panted the floor glossy white. One wall is covered with a vintage wallpaper by a German designer. All the other walls are white. I have made the curtains a bit too long for the window to try to make the window seem taller than it actually is. The room is pretty narrow and small but with all the white it is a very nice room to be in. I love the colour splashes - the pouf (by zid zid a brand I sell at the shop- see my profile for info), the carpet (Ikea) the thrifted bed spread...

From this crossing you can see Lincoln Central Station.

Pure milk dropped into a single droplet of milk on a black plate. Red dye added with a fine wire to colour parts of it.

After every single try you have to reset and start again *sigh*
