September 1 was a foggy start to spring and I got lucky with a tram going past early in the morning before traffic and parked cars!

I basically do not like use flash. This time, I'd love to try it for the image of colour splash. I covered the flash with colour filter.
Thank you, oceanT inspiring me!
A few more quick, rough, shot from the hip people watching pics from the snowy Meadows yesterday. Normally I stick to monochrome for my street shots, but it felt better to shoot in colour, perhaps because with the snow everything was a bit too black and white already and the colour splashes were needed, I'm not sure, but I generally just go on gut instinct for street photography.
Mama out for a walk with the kids. Shot with a Fuji X100T with a 23mm lens meant I had to get close ... too close. Mama started to hiss and I took that as a hint and backed off.
An image i have wantd to create for some time now. A red telephone box situated at Totnes, on the South Devon railway, and have added colour splash to it using Photoshop.
It's been a while since I got such a colourful lot. These brick's journey started in the USA in last November. And thanks to some good samaritans they have finally made their way to Portugal. There's a cool variety of bricks: Prima, Dogbone logo with 4 injector pins, common Dogbone, three variations of the Blockletter logo, Norwegian hatched bricks and no logo bricks.
The garden seems to be full of these spiders strung out between the flower heads setting a good trap for the nectar feeders. The background produced a good colour splash and the whole image can be clicked to enhance the spider details on this uncropped shot.
Strobist info:Nikon SB 900 and Nissin DI 622 mk2 set camera left and right behind subject set to manual 1/64 power and triggered via on camera flash fired onto coloured card behind subject.
Very interesting to see jewellery makers at Caudwell's Mill, Derbyshire, along with the other small bespoke art and craft workshops at the mill. If you get the opportunity, its well worth a visit :)

I was shooting street in Fort Langley when this little guy came whizzing by on his bright yellow bike.
Happy Friday! Ever wonder how photos like this are made? Have a look at www.joelbramley.com/full-blog/2018/10/12/colour-splash to find out and watch the short time lapse video that shows how I did it.

“The usually serene and formal Royal Botanic Garden reveals a surprisingly bold nightlife.
“As darkness falls, the transformation begins: gentle slopes become electric grids, sweeping shafts of light direct attention from the path deep into the foliage. All around patterns and movements dance across the trees; elsewhere bursts of colour splash and dazzle and ripple across the lawns.
“Not so sedate now.”
... the dedication series ... drawing inspiration from my flickr contacts.
There is nothing like vibrant, vivid colour splashed across my computer screen early in the morning to wake me up and believe that today will be a beautiful day - my visual senses are invigorated. There are many colourful characters on my contact page each and every day.
I dedicate this particular image to a number of my contacts that bring those rich colours to life regularly on their streams - Crazy Moon, Kevin Povenz, Bryan Hansel, Quik Sink, Christoph Fischer and Chris Busey. Apart from being wonderful photographers, they have a knack for bringing out the intensity of colour which sings. I felt like singing as I strolled along this creek, although the kookaburras were laughing at me ... and yes these are the colours of Autumn downunder :)
Thank you Viviana, Kevin, Bryan, Keiren, Chris and Chris for inspiring me to see the colours again in all their glory.
