Detailed right down to its heated rear window, high-level brake light and alloy wheels, this 1/72 Mercedes-Benz M-Class is an amazing little model. Made by Hongwell and purchased around 2005. Mint and boxed.

Class 50 passes a class 423/1 all in Network Southeast livery at Surbiton.

The model class 150/2 is a repainted standard Bachmann offering.

 

The model has been backdated to as delivered condition by cutting the gangway door window and adding the perspex dirt cover.

 

A light weathering in due course will complete the model.

BR Class 118 BRCW DMU WR set no. C465, Swansea High Street, 9 September 1986. The Ian Allan ABC 1988 British Rail Multiple-Units volume suggests that the front and rear coaches would be 51307 (DMBS) and 51322 (DMS). This would make the front coach here 51307, although the centre coach cannot easily be identified. The train has Valley Train logos and a Welsh dragon.

9 Class 14 arrive into Ramsbottom with the Bear-Ex (Beer-Ex), All 9 were working.

D123 Passes Swithland sidings while heading towards Rothley on the GCR diesel gala 15/04/2018. This photo was taken from the loop on the train hauled by class 20 D8098.

A tidy 31 had arrived. I can't recall if this was our train back or not, seems unlikely, though.
