.... a fun photo shoot! Me and Abby challenged each other to take a small photo shoot for a half an hour! Sadly she won and got back first.... so do the same thing with your friends!
Rules: It can be either of yourself (no one else), animals, or flowers. It cannot be a boring blank photo but it has to be interesting, you must atleast take 70 or more pictures... then edit and post on flickr.

I've been challenged by Izzy Standbridge to post five black and white pictures on five consecutive days (that's one on each of the five days), and on each of those days to challenge another person to do the same.
This has been far more of a challenge than I thought it would be, I had intended to take a new shot every day but I'm relying on my archive. This is a shot from San Francisco last year with the fog over the Golden Gate Bridge.
The third person I'm going to ask to take up this challenge of five black and white images in five days is Sean Furlong. (You don't have to do it Sean, and if you do decide to take up the challenge, you don't have to do it straight away…)

Heading into a big surf to challenge the high tide waves. You can take a beating but also get some great rides and feel one with nature. A great sport for men and women and best done with lifeguards on duty.

Out to look for sunsets, we came across a pair of swans with two cygnets instead. The sunset was forgotten as it cast a lovely warm light on the parents. Their white plumage, however, made it a bit of a struggle to photograph as I either blew out the highlights or put them in the shadows. Spot metering helped but did make the background darker then it actually was.
We were disappointed to see only two babies. Despite the intimidating size of Mom and Dad, I imagine predation from bigger fish, raccoons, birds, and even snapping turtles all combine to make survival a challenge.

The Challenge:
Your final challenge will be what this competition is all about...Avant Garde(AG) and who better to inspire you to the heights of Avant Garde, but the embodiment of AG herself...Lady Gaga. This superstar is Avant Garde to the max with a little splash of fantasy to keep everyone on their toes and speaking of toes don't forget those Gaga shoes. Wherever she goes Lady G goes there in Avant Garde style. Heck I'd like to bet that she wears AG to take out her garbage!!! With that in mind your final challenge is to design an outfit that would suit Lady G to a T.
Of all the challenges this was probably the hardest one to conceive since we are supposed to create a look for THE Lady Gaga. In the vastness of the possible looks, I remembered that The Lady herself will be coming to my country to have a big concert next month, so I imagined myself designing for her opening number here and what more could express my country's national identity than the Terno, a butterfly sleeved formal dress, and the Kalesa, a horse carriage that is decorated with colorful flaglettes and other blings. For this challenge I started out with a clean color palette, beige, cream and white to offset the otherwise flamboyant shape of the outfit. The sleeves are reminiscent of the Terno. The whole outfit is made of Jusi, an indigenous fabric and velvet panels. as for the embellishment, I opted for texture not shine so I used squared shells to use as breaker from the semi sheer fabric. Saran hair fringes finishes the look, I also made the Hoof shoes with tail, and the horse headpiece/wig to make the look more cohesive and utterly show stopping ready.

This is an awesome game that I saw at a party the other day. The people hosting made 100 cupcakes, each one representing a certain game, board, video, or otherwise. This was an amazing effort, considering the detailed work and imagination that went into it.
The goal of the game was to identify all the games from the clues on top of the cupcakes. I challenge you to do the same and leave a note around the cupcake with the name of the game. If the cupcake already has a note, don't make another one, even if you think the person identified the game incorrectly. I'll review the notes periodically and remove the wrong ones. Click on All Sizes button to see the larger version of the image.
If you prefer to play on your own, download the image, upload it to your own account, put the notes around the cupcakes yourself, and leave a comment here referring to it. The highest score at the party was 89.
