So I'm trying to move away from drawing flat-on side angles, and drawing a bit more 3D. This is my attempt at the Challenger 1 MBT
Union Pacific Challenger 3985 is under steam and positioned next to the Cheyenne engine house. Tomorrow, the big Alco will be making a round trip to Laramie.

M62M-012 ze składem ładownych cystern wypełnionych paliwem lotniczym relacji: Płock Trzepowo - Warszawa Okęcie, przed chwilą wyjechał ze stacji początkowej i zmierza w kierunku Płocka.
When this day began, I was comfortably trapped in my chic little Icelandic hotel cabin by snow drifts covering the door that were over five feet high. I heard some scrapping noises and peered out the window next to the door. The ever cheerful English guy in the bright red parka grinned back at me with his infectious smile. With a loud "good morning, Anne!", he waved the tiny shovel that he'd purchased at the Iceland version of the convenience store just the day before in the 'remote' chance that we might be snowed in at some point in the trip. Within time, I was freed into the wildly blowing subzero winds.
Our destination was Reynisfjara, one of the most beautiful and yet dangerous beaches in Iceland. I had seen the videos showing tourists trapped in terrifying sneaker waves on this beach and so I was careful not to get caught in one myself. We had not been so lucky a few days earlier at the beach in Vik which managed to swamp us with a rogue wave of freezing water - despite our best efforts to keep an eye out.
The temperatures this day were so far below freezing that it didn't matter what the number was -it was just bitterly cold. The winds were so strong that I felt that I was pushing against a wall just to walk forward. I took off in an opposite direction from my friends to find a different point of view. Hiking up to this overlook, I found a little shelter from the wind and I was able to set up my tripod and catch this scene just as the morning sun began to light up a bit. The sea looks almost benign in this image but believe me, it was very rough and thunderously loud as the crashing waves landed on the obsidian sands and rocks.
I know that I had a huge smile on my face that morning. I'm smiling right now just thinking about how good it feels to be in places like this which challenge us to thrive in adverse conditions. On this International Women's Day, don't give me a pair of fancy designer shoes, but give me more days like this one.

Florida has one of the densest concentrations of nesting bald eagles in the lower 48 states, with an estimated 1,500 nesting pairs. Concentrations of nesting territories are clustered around several significant lake, river, and coastal systems throughout the state. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has monitored the population of nesting bald eagles in Florida since 1972.
The bald eagle was removed from the USFWS endangered species list and the FWC imperiled species list in 2007 and 2008, respectively. The bald eagle continues to be protected under the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, along with the state bald eagle rule (68A-16.002, F.A.C.).
This male and female were issuing a challenge (or warning) to another Bald eagle couple which had flown into their territory!
Saturday Self Challenge: Surprise
When we saw our 14 year old grandson just over two months ago, he was playing pleasant tunes on the piano, Returning this week, we were amazed to hear classical music wafting through the house. Here he playing the main theme from the movie "Interstellar". A most pleasant surprise indeed.
Saturday Self Challenge; Seat
The challenge for me was not in taking a photograph of the seat but in posting this version with the filtered background. I have a perfectly adequate photograph of the scene but in playing around in editing, found that I could add a filtered background. I'm never sure how much I'm cheating with an effect like this, but its vibrance appealed to me so I've taken the plunge and posted it. After all, it is called a Self-Challenge group...........
Hi Bella!

The Challenge: Take a photo looking up.
I thought this would be easy but with grey skies etc, I didn't like any of my shots. I was out watering and casually took this pic looking up at my chimney pots, Thanks goodness the sky had cleared!!

The resistance.
I saw these flowers in the park in Radziejowice. There were a lot of them and their characteristic smell was felt all around :)
Wild garlic or bear's garlic (Allium ursinum) is a bulbous perennial flowering plant in the amaryllis family Amaryllidaceae. It is a wild relative of onion, native to Europe and Asia, where it grows in moist woodland. It flowers in the British Isles from April to June, starting before deciduous trees leaf in the spring. The leaves of A. ursinum are edible; they can be used as salad, herb, boiled as a vegetable, in soup, or as an ingredient for a sauce that may be a substitute for pesto in lieu of basil. The stems are preserved by salting and eaten as a salad in Russia. A variety of Cornish Yarg cheese has a rind coated in wild garlic leaves. The bulbs and flowers are also edible. It is used for preparing herbed cheese, a Van speciality in Turkey.

Our Daily Challenge ~ Hidden beauty
This beautiful bloom was only just visible through the hedge and I had to reach through to cut it (with permission from my neighbour).

Patiently waiting for you to come to me, I appreciate your beauty as you undress, holding the cuffs that are about to restrain yourself.

I belong to a group on Facebook called 52Frames where each week a challenge is give for a certain type of photograph. This weeks challenge was Bokeh and this was my top choice of all the photos I took. You can see a couple that did not make the cut in the comments below, plus the photo from yesterday. I liked this one because of the composition, the softer colors and the ornamental grass seed heads looked a bit like a Fleur-de-Lis. One of the more fun challenges! Next week it will be photographing a bathroom with an extra challenge being a public bathroom which.... Mmm. Not going to happen! LOL
