When I saw this man I felt that he has been through many years of hard work and problems, his eyes were full of sadness and dispair, too sad to even cry.

He was in Souq Wagef looking for people who want their bags to be carried so they tip him. I felt very heart broken and it made me realize how privileged many of us are and all the things we have we take for granted.

They are a challenge for aspiring macro-photographers, so I had to have one. With some patience you’ll find them on a leaf somewhere not to wet. And then the real challenge begins, finding one that stays in focus. A great sport I thought.

This challenge is to Photograph your image in portrait orientation.

I have a lot of buldings around here and found them good for the challenge, I liked the different colour brickwork and the fact that this house had 2 styles of chimney pots and a television arial!

My thanks to all who visit and comment it is appreciated

GRRC Track Day Goodwood Motor Circuit.

Tantos retos y tantas cosas por hacer cada día que me pasa el día volando. Ayer uno de los temas del día era "alcayatas, clavos o tornillos". Esta ha sido mi aportación.

Bendita fotografía !!!

Due to the quarantine and lots of friends photography speaking today's challenge was "spite" and that was my contribution.

Theme in the Hiekkaoliivi`s Saturday Surprise -challenge was "Joy". I think I have to explain a little bit this one.

My mum has been in the hospital over three weeks and my joy of christmas was that she could come home for the Christmas Eve and spend that day with us. But still... I felt so bad when we had to take her back to hospital in the evening.

That image what I used is from the Hugo Simberg`s painting called Wounded angel (I`m not sure is that right translation, In Finnish: Haavoittunut enkeli). I love that painting!

Simberg painted that after he had been in the hospital over six month. He said that he wanted to fight through the illness because he want to get that painting finished.

Came across this team recently, so I thought I'd take a quick photo of the group! It's such a weird group, but the more I think about it the more it really works out!

The challenge was to take a picture of water well we have loads of it , so took a pic of the North sea the little headland is at Pegwell Bay,it has suffered from cliff erosion but boulders have been put at the bottom and that appears to have halted the erosion process for the moment, behind can be seen the coast that goes down to Sandwich.

Apologies for early submission but won't be back online till tomorrow night.

I was given this little key chain free: we were shopping in a book store and I found this little camera. The clerk could not find a price for it so she gave it to me free :)

Neist Point Lighthouse in Isle of Skye, Scotland at sunrise. These photographers had camped there in ultra cold super windy conditions. Just wanted to show how some photographers go to extremes, challenging themselves against the elements to get the best shots/footage.

Challenge #184

When Traci rang the doorbell holding onto an almost unconscious Cannon, I was alarmed and worried. I said, "What's going on, Traci?" Turns out Cannon was still groggy with anesthesia after having his wisdom teeth surgically removed. The surgeon gave instructions of how to take care of him. He was loopy for a while but then started to come out of it. These are the "Unexpected Moments" I'm not crazy about. Was nice to have his mother around to take care of him!

I was shopping with my daughters Traci and Laurie and they decided I needed this plant. What I need with another live plant is beyond me because over the years I have created quite a large plant cemetery. I don't know how to take care of plants. But, the girls fell in love with this flowering plant so I did too. It's called a Bromeliad and I've seen it before, probably in Hawaii. The plant is native to South and Central America, so maybe I saw it in Paraguay or Brazil, who knows? Or maybe even in Guatemala. I'm told you only ever need to buy one Bromeliad in your lifetime because when it dies you can take the pups, transplant them, and a whole new plant grows. Now here's the kicker. It takes anywhere from 3 to 6 years for pups to flower. I'm probably going to be dead and long gone before I can enjoy the flowering pups.

I’ve decided this photo has a Mother & Child relationship. It’s a stretch but I’m in the mood for thinking outside the box—get the creative juices flowing!

Union Pacific #3985 - Cheyenne, Wyoming - May 27th, 1984.

"Union Pacific 3985, or UP 3985, is a four-cylinder simple articulated 4-6-6-4 Challenger-type steam locomotive owned and operated by Union Pacific Railroad in the Western United States. It was built in 1943 by the American Locomotive Company of Schenectady, New York. The locomotive is one of only two of the original 105 Union Pacific Challengers in existence, along with UP 3977, which is on static display in North Platte, Nebraska. Until it was placed in storage in Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 2010, UP 3985 was the largest and heaviest operational preserved steam locomotive in the world." - Wikipedia
