So...I didn't know there was an annual March Madness Disneybound Challenge until it was too late to start, I went and found an old one and am doing it now!
This was for a challenge that Flutterbydragonfly decided to do with one of her photos.
So this is my version.
Two different textures and brushes used in Adobe Photoshop7.

I had trouble finding a cube but finally an old game of Yahtzee belonging to my daughters yielded these dice so I had a bit of fun with them.
This is my manipulation of the Down Under Challenge image, the original of which was posted by arnet for use in the DUC
I learned this new shooting spot from one of my Flickr contacts- Sullivan and decided to challenge it today. The hiking trail is really a tough one and I may not know where my legs are tomorrow. Sorry I am so exhausted and will feedback your great works tomorrow.

Something old.
I was struggling to find something to photograph for this part of the challenge, not because I don't have anything old, but because I am spoiled for choice!
In the end, I went with this old painted 26W night-light bulb, which has been gathering dust on a bookshelf since my daughter was little. I long since replaced all incandescent light bulbs in the house, and have nearly finished replacing the last few compact fluorescent bulbs with LED equivalents. As such, there is no way that I'm ever going to use this bulb again, but it's just too pretty to throw away.
Went out with my large format film camera yesterday... 'Top Cat' Michael and Chris' CAT Challenger MT765B and Simba Solo disc harrow waiting for the ground to dry a bit before getting into it...
MPP Micro Technical 5 x 4 and Fujinon 150mm f6.3, Fomapan 100, f16 at 1/30 sec, orange filter. Scanned with Epson Perfection V800.

The St. Marys Challenger inbound at Milwaukee on quiet July evening. Saw her carcass unloading at the St. Marys Terminal last night. The four of us were completely disgusted by it. Eric even started to cry in disbelief wondering when they were going to fix her. We told him there was no help for her now. So this is the way we will always remember her.

Grunge photography goes far beyond what the naked eye perceives and brings with it a dimension of frightening, mystery and powerful emotions.
These images are usually heavily edited and enhanced in order to create the grunge effect.
This effect can be described as dark, dirty, old, gloomy and definitely has an eerie vibe to it. Dirty textures and background images are almost essential in every grunge design.
But grunge photography could be also poetic and could transmit a story of the day life or romantic emotions, the concept could be more broad applicable to several compositions with grunge textures: coffee rings, spilled out liquids, dirty stains, torn paper and dirty edges, hand-written elements, paper- and photo clips, needles and various pins, etc .. be creative !! : )

Rustica is a wonderful sim and home furnishings shop created by the very talented Maxwell Graf. Go visit this excellent sim and explore the shop and the sim around it. Take your time and if so moved.... purchase something for your sim or just for yourself.
I absolutely love this place.
Well somewhere on the sim.... maybe even in the very cool shop.... is a secret symbol... not completely hidden and almost in plain site.... if you know where to look.
To get credit for this challenge find your way to Rustica... and into the shop... explore and find the symbol.... take a picture of yourself standing in front of it. The post it to flickr.
Heading into a big surf to challenge the high tide waves. You can take a beating but also get some great rides and feel one with nature. A great sport for men and women and best done with lifeguards on duty.

I kayaked out to "Little Tybee", back in the "Jacks Cut" area yesterday and camped out overnight. It was a beautiful night out and...................oh heck, more of that story later.
On this picture I want to issue a challenge.......Can You Guess How I Did This Shot?
Believe me when I tell you I dont think you are going to believe it. I was so completely blown away by this. I truelly made me feel real small in the big picture that is our existance.
I will tell you this.....this picture had not been modified in any way, no Photoshop, no anything other than just slight sharpening.
I have left all exif data showing on flickr and I posted a little larger picture that I normally post.
See if you can figure it out and e-mail me at my flickr mail with your guess. Dont spoil this for anyone by posting you answer into the comment section.
I think you will be shocked or at least I was.

I've been challenged by Izzy Standbridge to post five black and white pictures on five consecutive days (that's one on each of the five days), and on each of those days to challenge another person to do the same.
This has been far more of a challenge than I thought it would be, I had intended to take a new shot every day but I'm relying on my archive. This is a shot from San Francisco last year with the fog over the Golden Gate Bridge.
The third person I'm going to ask to take up this challenge of five black and white images in five days is Sean Furlong. (You don't have to do it Sean, and if you do decide to take up the challenge, you don't have to do it straight away…)
