I was challenged by my very dear friend Ethan to partake in the #guardyourlight challenge that T E E J ✿ launched spontaneously a few days ago on her Flickr.
I was inspired and snapped this last night. Now it's my turn to challenge some talented artists to keep it alive and do something inspired by those words !

Noshinima Midas.
I am introducing a new form of challenge for all the lovely photographers of Second Life. Something that I have been working on for 2 months after being inspired by others that have done similar challenges for their friends. I would like to call this the Challenge at Noshinima's Neighborhood. I am considering making this a regular thing, where every few months I will come up with a new interesting backdrop to challenge more lovely artists in.
Rules and details:
1) I (Noshinima Midas) tag names of great photographers on Second Life. Said photographers that choose to participate in the challenge can come over to my parcel, Noshinima's Neighborhood (link below) and do an image anywhere in my penthouse. You will be allowed two hours to use any pose stands or props that you would like to add and are allowed to bring any friends you want to join you in your shoot. You are also allowed to make the shoot as safe or as adult as you like. The only rule is that you do the shoot within my penthouse. Take your time to have a look around to see where in the house would make a great place for your image.
2) Upload the finished image onto Flickr and place the hashtag #NoshsHoodChallenge on either the title or the description.
3) From there, tag 10 of your friends names (no more, no less) of people that you would also like to see do this challenge that has not yet been tagged by me on this post. Link them to this post and explain the rules to them as well. They must also tag 10 of their friends that they would like to see do this challenge if they themselves choose to participate as well.
I am available every day. If anyone has any questions, comments or would like help in their shoots, be sure to contact me on Flickr or Second Life.

It's mainly very expensive clothes for people who spend summer holidays on boats. With summer over, I don't think there will be many customers. There was only one boat left in the harbour after I saw the last three sailboats leave. The canal will now be closed until next summer.
Saturday Self-challenge - numbers
At this time of year it doesn't get totally dark. This week there has been some red sky in the distance every night. Hope this is ok even though it is neither blue hour or dark.

The opening scene in "The shape of Water" got my attention for the lightweightlessness of the objects that floated in the water and also for the serenity of the actress, deeply asleep in her sofa. This way I got inspiration to create some sort of aquatic sleeping beauty, dressed in garments of the epoch of the movie. And to complete my composition I added some details from the fashion world and a diva pose that allowed me show this stunning dress by Virtual Diva.

Week 13 for the 52 week project - The painter Bonnard said “Make little lies to tell a great truth”. Use that as your inspiration.
I have really struggled with this theme and had no idea what to do as if I am honest, I don't really understand it!
As I was uploading this image for Window Wednesday, I thought maybe this could work. Are the reflections truth or lies? Are they really there? Am I thinking too much about this? So, one from the archives which I don't like doing for a challenge but I'm pretty sure I am not going to get anything else.

Working in the vines isn't romantic, it's hard, hard work. But the rewards are worth it!
BDCC Monthly challenge: British summertime
5:40 PM Cromer pier in the middle of July should be buzzing with life, People eating fish and chips, children running around and the general hubbub that is usually found on the pier in summer. Have I cloned them out? No, it was bitterly cold and blowing a hoolie (it had rained all day) not a soul to be found here...except yours truly who just had to get a photo.
