I never throw away bubble wrap. I have two boxes (big ones!) full of it in my attic. Whenever I get a package in the mail, and it has bubble wrap in it, I get excited. “Free bubble wrap!” The stuff is expensive if you have to buy it. I have things to sell on eBay. I’ll use it someday… I know I will!

I've had this idea for ages. Last summer I spent ages trying to photograph bubbles - but they're a bugger to get in focus, with a clear background. So these are actually one of Jack's toy balls with some Photoshop trickery: gray-scaled & overlayed with a rainbow gradient. Then the "bubble" is layered over the clouds with a "sceen" blend. Arranged in a bear-like fashion and with some final warp transformage.

We went to a birthday party today for Connor's cousin... They had a horse and a pony for the kids to ride and also had a hay ride. Of all the attractions that were there today, a $20 electric bubble maker kept the kids occupied the most...
