This is a pic of water droplets that look like bubbles. It was taken on a blue lid faced to the light.
It's been many months since I last published a picture. Going from at least 1 per day to nothing was not what I wanted, although I have taken quite a few. Unfortunately, I haven't been well for the past few weeks and being stuck in the house is largely driving me nuts. To try and address this I bought a macro lens (Tokina 100mm f/2.8 AT-X) so that I could do something around the house when I was feeling able. This is one of my first shots with the new lens, which is of olive oil bubbles in a bowl with coloured paper underneath, something that I'd tried towards the end of last year. I'm not sure of the composition but, heck, it's just nice to get something out there again.
I love animals that are nearly completely transparent like this bubble coral shrimp (vir philippinensis), which surprisingly enough, is on a bubble coral.
Who knew a bubble making kit could be so much fun at a lake?

Freezing bubbles experiment (with my son the first day, then on my own on the 2nd attempt - because I'm just a big kid.) :)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiverse :
"In the chaotic inflation theory, a variant of the cosmic inflation theory, the multiverse as a whole is stretching and will continue doing so forever, but some regions of space stop stretching and form distinct bubbles, like gas pockets in a loaf of rising bread. Such bubbles are embryonic level of multiverses. Linde and Vanchurin calculated the number of these universes to be on the scale of 101010,000,000".
"Dans la théorie de l'expansion chaotique, une variante de la théorie de l'expansion cosmique, le multivers est étiré dans son ensemble et continue à le faire indéfiniment, mais certaines régions d'arrêt dans l'espace étiré forment des bulles distinctes, comme des poches de gaz dans une miche de pain qui lève. Ces bulles sont le niveau embryonnaire des multivers. Linde et Vanchurin ont calculé que le nombre de ces univers pourrait se situer à l'échelle de 101010.000.000."
