Almost there! Back half of a bubble, mid-explosion.
I was originally trying to capture a side view of this, but I think I'll need to enlist an assistant for that. I don't have any depth perception while looking through the viewfinder so I have to sort of stab at the bubble, instead of sneaking up beside it.
What I like most about this shot is that It how lucky it was, I think if this had been my vision in the first place I would have never been able to get a shot like this.

I've been forever blowing Bubbles
And I just adore this image!
I have had an absolute storm with this set... A fish tank full of water and a 6mm tube through which I have been blowing bubbles! One flash, naked and just above the surface at 45 degrees triggered with a pair of RF603s. Mounted the Tamron 90mm on a jessops 2x teleconverter and wound up the aperture as tight as it would go (F90 no less!!!)
I had no Idea how frustratingly hard this would be nor how messy it could get!
I have no idea where the orange 'smoke' appeared from or what it is!!!
i've terrible about not adding descriptions until the next day.
my goal was to try and get a reflection of the grimm coming in for the kill in a bubble, but that just wasn't going to happen without me getting a bloody nose. so, i settled for taking a million pictures of the bubble massacre and trying to find one with both her and the bubble in decent focus. there was one where her head appears to be entirely encased in a bubble, but that was more funny to look at than anything else.
