Liquid soap under microscope at 4x mag - a bit of food colouring was added.

I had to take a picture of this large bubble that formed voluntarily on the pavement. If you look closely, you can see a bit of a reflection of the clouds in the sky, (best viewed in LightBox). The troubled bee was already there; he's no longer flying, but he does help to demonstrate scale. Thank you, Mr. Bee; may you rest in peace.

Bubbles Day. Moscow'2011

Ok - for all of you non Wisconsonites I had to post this one. This is what we call a bubbler. The rest of the country calls it a water fountain. This was one of the most unique bubblers I've ever seen.

I got pushed to try to do some bubble photos. This is one of five outtakes of what happens when you combine dry ice with bubble solution. (Hint: You get fog AND tons of bubbles!)

As always, thanks for your views and comments!

You are seeing into the interior of a cluster of soap bubbles. I focus on a surface that separates adjacent bubbles. This results in some interesting shapes.
