I admit, the soap bubble isn't too sharp. But this was the only picture where you could see all the small droplets surrounding it.
Bubbles! I love looking at the bubbles trapped in the ice on my lake. In the last few days I was so entranced by the fantastic designs that I wandered into a hockey match and stumbled across an ice fishing hole. Luckily, no one was fishing at the hole.
Making O bubbles. I can only do one good one before I run out of air so it took a few to get it clean like this. Since I don't use a scuba tank.

This is a pic of water droplets that look like bubbles. It was taken on a blue lid faced to the light.
It's been many months since I last published a picture. Going from at least 1 per day to nothing was not what I wanted, although I have taken quite a few. Unfortunately, I haven't been well for the past few weeks and being stuck in the house is largely driving me nuts. To try and address this I bought a macro lens (Tokina 100mm f/2.8 AT-X) so that I could do something around the house when I was feeling able. This is one of my first shots with the new lens, which is of olive oil bubbles in a bowl with coloured paper underneath, something that I'd tried towards the end of last year. I'm not sure of the composition but, heck, it's just nice to get something out there again.
Some time it is just fun to play with bubbles. The up stream side of the ford makes for some neat whirlpools.
