Soap bubble with reflection of house and garden.

Looked up while in the bath and found these in a jar and looking closely a self portrait too, admittedly a distorted one.

The Simple set up included my Canon on its tripod using the Macro Lense facing downwards into a Blue bowl of water, where i simply poured a bottle of water while taking shots.

these are bubbles blown into a paper weight if you were wondering.

cropped from frozen bubbles 1.

These aren't actually bubbles... it's just a glass ball. I made this blue. :D

It was a large-ish bubble from a street seller 's bubble gadget so was not as hard to focus on as you might think.

Other bubbles from my regulator.

Vir philippinensis.

It's been many months since I last published a picture. Going from at least 1 per day to nothing was not what I wanted, although I have taken quite a few. Unfortunately, I haven't been well for the past few weeks and being stuck in the house is largely driving me nuts. To try and address this I bought a macro lens (Tokina 100mm f/2.8 AT-X) so that I could do something around the house when I was feeling able. This is one of my first shots with the new lens, which is of olive oil bubbles in a bowl with coloured paper underneath, something that I'd tried towards the end of last year. I'm not sure of the composition but, heck, it's just nice to get something out there again.

bubble reflection.

1. I miss my friends from sleep-away camp so much already

2. I plan to go back there and see them every single summer until I get too old, in which case I shall become a counselor

4. One fact being that I found that I utterly love dark room photography

5. I love film

6. But, it took me forever to process :) It got easier as time went on though!

7. I guess I'm a bit happy that I got to sleep in my own bed last night, but it was so weid not not wake up to the commotion of me and my six dorm mates of getting ready for breakfast~ it was so quiet!

8. I tried so many times to get these photos of my friends blowing bubbles :)

9. It's foggy and cold. Summer is not allowed to be like this!

Ice on a lake, with frozen bubbles

I love animals that are nearly completely transparent like this bubble coral shrimp (vir philippinensis), which surprisingly enough, is on a bubble coral.

Who knew a bubble making kit could be so much fun at a lake?
