Meantime Brewing Company are based in Greenwich (hence the name) and sell many popular beers including Yakima Red and Meantime Pale Ale. They do tours and also tasting sessions too.
They are now owned by Asahi Breweries having formerly been bought out by SAB-Miller.

Brewers, beer industry members, and good-beer fans in the mid-Atlantic gathered at Mad Fox Brewing to roast (and bid farewell to) Nick Funnell, a British-trained brewer who, for 17 1/2 years, had been the executive brewmaster for Sweetwater Taverns in northern Virginia. In addition to winning numerous awards, Funnell trained many brewers who went on to success at Sweetwater and elsewhere.
Funnell leaves for Portland, Oregon, where he will sell brewing supplies for BSG Craft. More: here.

Our brew club, the Wissahickon Brewers Guild, had a booth at a neighborhood festival. We used Phil's (center) equipment. His cool/mash tun is slightly larger, and has a manifold on top for sparge water (adding more water to your grain slowly so that it won't disturb the settling that has already taken place). Phil's kettle also has a fancy schmancy gauge on the side so you can see how much liquid you've got in there.

The Brew 2.0 event hosted by Molsons & organised by H&K included an excellent education session, a beer-tasting, food-pairing session, a tour of the micro-brewery space in the ACC and a couple of product introductions.
The event has caused a bit of a brew-ha-ha in the PR, Social Media & blogging communities around the state & ethics of outreach & blogger relations. (you can start reading on the Molson Blog which includes links to most of the discussion.) I do have some thoughts on this situation, but that's for another forum.

Matt gave me a blank Mini Tea vinyl last year, and after a long time pondering what to do with the adorable little fella i found a little scrap of this gorgeous vintage brown fur in my fabric stash and Monster Brew was born!
