Partizan Brewing is headed by Andy Smith formally of the Redemption Brewery. Its a new brewery and is starting with bottled beers. Styles will be traditional but definitely with a tweak. The beers are available in a number of pubs mostly in East London, though its possible to purchase beers direct at the brewery though check with their website or twitter account.

The day before, I had promised him this great Kona I had roasted. I carefully ground it, brewed it, decanted it promptly into a thermos - - - and then left the damned thermos sitting on the kitchen counter.

Great things come in small packages. Relic brewing is a micro-brewery in Plainville, CT. The space is probably the size of a bathroom but what great beers. I really like the Houndstooth.
Regular tastings are Friday 5-7 PM and Saturday 12-3 PM.

Once in a great while life drops a nice surprise in you lap.
On more of a goof than anyhting else, I picked up this curious looking bottle and the salesman at the shop immediately commented "Good Choice!" Not one to trust salespersons, I raised a doubtful eyebrow in his direction and he quickly began to detail the qualities of the brew... and not from the notes on the label either.
A nice chestnut brown ale, with powerful roasted malts and a surprisingly strong hop flavor. (More so than the supposed IPA offering from the same brewery). There is a slight hint of some higher alcohols bt not enough to distract from the genuine full bodied and well rounded flavor profile.
Definitely worth a try.

A few words of advice:
-The box says to stir... don't. As you might imagine, this only puts fine grinds through the filter and into your cup. Even better, pour slowly...
-Experiment with grind levels. Bodum recommends coarse. I recommend somewhere between drip and press, as listed on the adjustment collar of the Solis Maestro, my cupping grinder. The key is exposure time, and using a "coarse" grind would make exposure a tad short.
-As you may have read elsewhere, get a good grinder. This process is so utterly dependent on the quality and control factor of your grind, putting coffee through anything less than a Bodum Antigua or Solis Maestro is a tragic waste of money (and coffee).

It commemorates the twinning of Dortmund and Leeds, and the proud history of brewing both cities share.
Princeton (WI) Tiger Brew is no more, but the name lives on as the name of the sports teams of the local public school, the Princeton Tigers. That is, at least until they started co-oping with 2 other districts for most all sports. Now they are the Princeton-Montello-Green Lake Phoenix for football, and the Princeton-Green Lake Tiger Sharks for most everything else. Yikes, what a mess, but necessary, I guess, due to the small school districts in central Wisconsin.
The inscription above the word "Princeton" is dated 1894.
I don't know if the building is still being used for something, but the shrubs do seem to be kept up.

72/365 Getting things together for brewing an extract brew. Never brewed on an electric stove before, so I wasn’t sure if it would work. It did. Just.
Twine is strung horizontally across the bottom of the trellis; from that line vertical pieces head up to the cross bar. Each of four or the five vertical strings get three of the strongest hop bines assigned to them. The remaining bines are pruned.
The cross bars are at six feet, so maintenance and harvesting are very easy (unless you're vertically challenged).
The last of the spring daffodils and grape hyacinth can be seen in the background.
