Golden, CO – Coors Brewing Company. Their main brewery in Golden distributes over 600 million pounds of spent grain annually. Sixty percent of the spend grain is dried and sold as feed to farmers and the remaining balance is trucked through a subcontractor to area farms. Since 1996 Coors has been recycling “spilled beer” into automotive fuel. That’s about 1.5 million gallons of ethanol a year. I have high respect for the brewery but seriously that’s A LOT of spilled beer! As a side note the “spilled beer” also includes batches of beer that did not make it through their quality control. Cheers!

Shooting with the Crude Brew Crew (http://crudebrewcrew.com) has to proven to be an awesome endevor. They are awesome guys that never fail to bring out the finest home-made foods and quality Craft Beer. The occasionaly homebrew doesn't hurt either... ;)

First drill a hole to mount the ground screw. Then use some emery cloth or sand paper to rough up the chrome surface. This will help the RTV sealant bite when it comes time to make it water tight.

Any of my regular contacts knows this is no surprise.

I have been brewing my own beer for several years now.

That is not all I drink either. I do buy beer from lots of other craft brewery's.

Also seen in my stream.

I don't brew to save money. I brew because of the enjoyment. It's a guy thing, or a gal thing.

Just like some people love to cook or bake I love to brew.

It's making something that taste good and telling your friends, I made that.

Costa Coffee – a brand synonymous with Good Brewed Coffee needs no introduction. With over 2500 outlets located across 28 countries and 100+ in India, it is undoubtedly one of the major names in the coffee industry. Costa Coffee recently launched ‘Ice Shaken Coffee’ – a unique concept of shaking the chosen coffee over ice and milk, keeping it more on the healthier side.

To start with, there is a noticeable difference in the warmth and welcome shown by the Costa crew and other stores in the field. The seating arrangements have been given appropriate thought to maintain your privacy – for those unending chats with friends and family over the cups of coffee. With the best in class food items, well trained people – hand making coffee – this is an art Costa Coffee has perfected.

I always fancied ‘Shaken not Stirred’ – being an avid fan of the James Bond series – and was pretty excited to see what they had to offer. The concept is modest – just choose your favorite coffee amongst – Latte, Espresso Americano, Cappuccino, Mocha, Macchiato, Ristretto, Chai Latte, and Chocolate and see it being shaken over an apt layer of ice for the flawless lift the summer commands.

We were suggested an Iced Latte Shaken – the perfect blend of the kick of the finest coffee beans, the mild sweetness and served ice cold – what else can you yearn for in the heat! A Red berry fruit cooler & Belgian Chocolate Creamy Cooler were the other ones on our table – each crafted to perfection – the Red berry fruit cooler was extremely refreshing. Fresh Red berries blended with ice to create the perfect concoction this is a drink I would love to have again and again. Belgian Chocolate Creamy Cooler is another fine drink crafted by Costa – the goodness of the Belgian Chocolate, the creaminess of the whipped cream and the magic of Costa – has created a marvelous drink.

Also on the table were a couple of recently launched sandwiches from their menu – Peri Peri magic Chicken Bagelwich – a unique ‘sandwich’ made of Bagels – which is a welcome change from all the regular bread sandwiches we are used to. The bagels are fresh and are served grilled – are the best thing to go with your cup of coffee (hot or cold). Chicken and Ham sandwich was also ordered – which was subtle on the flavors and the ingredients were fresh. From the ‘sweet section’ – a Vanilla Sponge cake was ordered and was good too – with a layer of aptly sweetened butter cream and jam. The cake could have been a little soft, but the taste was good.

The good thing in Costa is that you can get your drinks customized – just say it – like it more sweet or on the lower side, strong coffee or light, regular milk or skimmed or soy milk – you have an array of choices.

With the launch of ‘shaken’ drinks, Costa honors the tradition of hand crafting their coffee. So the next time you want to grab that glass of cold coffee for your craving – ask for an Ice Shaken and ‘Shake up your day with Shaken Iced Coffee’!!

Orlando Brewing is the local beer. These hand-crafted organic ales and lagers are already available in select bars and restaurants across Central Florida. Many more are coming aboard. And, of course, you can always wet your whistle right here at the Tap Room.

Orlando Brewing is Florida’s only certified organic brewery. What does it mean to be organic? It means that ingredients used in crafting our ales are grown without insecticides, bioengineering, or irradiation.

Orlando Brewing brews in accordance with the German Purity Law of 1516. That means we use only natural, organic ingredients.

Our favorite Halloween tradition is smashing and shredding fresh pumpkins in a woodchipper to use in Ghoulschip. After it’s all brewed, we send the wort to rest among the specters in our Coolship—on Halloween night—where it collects wild microflora from the chill Maine air. The finished blend consists of one-, two-, and three-year-old barrel-aged beer.
