On Saturday, 6/25/16 Clean Bread and Cheese Creek Community Cleanups had a beautiful day to work with over 45 incredible volunteers to cleanup Lynch Cove Run. Together we removed over 120 bags of trash, 12 tires, 4 mattresses, 2 couches, a leather loveseat, a leather recliner, 3 tables, 2 bicycles, 2 TV’s, a shopping cart, a truck cap, a 5 gallon bucket filed with kitchen knives, and much more- completely filling a 30 yard dumpster!!! Thank you everyone so very much for all your incredible hard work! Our volunteer dedication to working toward a cleaner, greener, healthier community and environment cannot be topped! Thank you so much!!! We truly wish to thank the following organizations who came out to today’s cleanup!

I made a big batch of beef stew and decided to take the leftovers camping to share with others. I figured what would be better than steamy beef stew in a yummy bread bowl.
Found a random recipe online, most all the loaves fell when I went to transfer them to oven and I decided to shape a few over a large ramekin. I liked the ramekin shaped ones better, no need to cut and remove bread before filling them up. The flavor was rather dull, but still worked well with the beef stew.
Thats my new mixer in the background -- it got delivered after the bread bowls were done -- so those are 100% hand made bread bowl goodness.
Despite the heat, over 20 volunteers arrived early on Saturday, July 10, 2021, to help Clean Bread and Cheese Creek Community Cleanups remove over 22 bags of trash including a two shopping carts, a framed picture, several car parts and much more from three of our communities War of 1812 Monuments: Battle Acre Park, North Point Battlefield Park, and the Methodist Meeting House Monument and Bread and Cheese Creek at North Point Road. In addition to removing trash from the sites we also removed weeds from the brick work and monuments, cleaned the monument drains at Battle Acre, as well as mulching the area around the Methodist Meeting House Monument. We would genuinely like to thank the volunteers from the community who gave up their Saturday Morning to help us beautify and clean these important historic sites! Those who have given their lives defending our country should never be forgotten no longer how long ago their sacrifice was made.
We truly with to thank the Patriotic Order Sons of America for volunteering with us today! The They donated water, snacks, funds, a new flag for Battle Acre and several smaller flags for the other sites as well. We look forward to working more with them in the future, It was their organization who paid for and installed the Methodist Meeting House Monument over a hundred year ago!
We would also like to thank WJZ TV for sending out a cameraman to cover the cleanup and the importance of remembering our fallen heroes, the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, American Rivers, for all their assistance and support on this cleanup.
