What's not to love. I've had this twice today. For breakfast (toasted) and a snack (not toasted) this afternoon. Thank the Lord and all other Deities that I don't have Coeliac Disease!
Because I absolutely love bread.
Probably not the first and certainly not the last pic of bread I post
100x The 2022 Edition.
There was a big hole in the sliced bread. The shape looks like the body builder show off his biceps. XD
HMM♪
I learned my cat doesn't like low-fat brie...but then, who does? At least it kept him from investigating my set.

A glimpse of nostalgia with a vintage bread truck from the 1940s, rusting on a street corner in Fulton, Kentucky. The GMC truck, with its aged metal body, evokes a sense of nostalgia and a bygone era. The rust on the truck is a reminder of its long service, and the patina of the metal speaks to its history. The High Dynamic Range of the photograph brings out the rich details of the scene, from the texture of the rust to the faded lettering on the truck.

found this tiny plastic sandwich miniature 1" square (from Japan) and posed it on a Japanese magazine cover. Macro Mondays: this week's theme: 'bread'. HMM!
HMM (possibility)...the theme for macromondays for 5/13 is "a spoonful" and one must stay within the parameters of size while still showing at least a portion of the bowl of the spoon and the contents. if i decide to go with this one, i may crop it down just a little, although it is under 3 inches in all directions. the theme's explanation can be found here:

when i spotted this tray of bead pudding, i was immediately transported back to a memory of my dad who had this story/joke that he never really finished telling because it would crack him up every time he tried ~grin~

She's fallen from grace
Somewhere in space
The twilight has come and there is no tomorrow
And night after day
She's driftin' away
And time is run out for our lady of sorrow
Lady don't you cry
This time you'll stay high
Lately when I've seen her
She would smile as if to say
That the worst was over
And there'd soon be brighter days
But I'm wonderin', I'm wonderin'
She goes to the door
And ask just once more
She gives everything she could beg, steal or borrow
And each time is her last
But time moves too fast
And time has run out for our lady of sorrow
Lady don't you frown
This time you won't come down
Just today I watched them as
They carried her away
And I can only hope that she
Has found a brighter day
But I'm wonderin', I'm wonderin'
Had there been someone near to care what then?

this weeks macro monday theme was bread. als I am in Paris right now it was clear for me to take a picture of baguette. but of course last friday changed...my feelings, the atmosphere, maybe Paris. this sign, created by Jean Jullien, says much to me. my hope is that from here and now we can start living peace.

Mediterranean staples -Bread, Olives and Cheese. Olive bread is a favourite in our household along with my home cured olives.
Happy new year everyone!!! We're eating one loaf and my friend David got one, so there is one left. Our neighbor Judy is a likely candidate.
Here's the recipe so you can make a loaf of your own:
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 ripe bananas
2 eggs
2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Bake in Loaf Pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
