Fabric is heavily beaded with wooden beads. It is from Singapore and was
given to my Mum a long time ago!! Mum has now passed it on to me and I need
to work out what to make from it. As you can see, the beading is extensive.

In less than a week I'll be going to the wedding of a wonderful woman we call Moe. She asked me to make her bridesmaids bags and wraps to go with their dresses. I was delighted to be able to do this for her. This is a detail shot of the beading on the wraps. The color is a bit off, I don't think the camera could handle the intensity of the orange that is this silk. I'll try it later in a variety of different lights to see what I can come up with. The lighter beads are gold-tone beads and the darker beads are in copper-tone. The handles for the bags will be in tortoise-shell plastic so it will be interesting to be able to share them finished in the next day or so and then to show them on Moe's friends in a week or so. Stay tuned

My first foray into beading! Henry the VIII's Wedding Gift from the Anticraft. It only took me a few hours last night, and the result is terribly pretty.
