Listening and beading is possible. It may not even be multitasking. When you bead, myths and traditional stories are passed on.

I was fed up with using the fiddly little crochet hook to bead even before the first time I picked it up. This tool appeared in my mind, but I had no idea what sort of wire to use to make it... until my fiance restrung his guitar!

It works beautifully. No more crochet hook! No more fishing for beads! I load the tool up with beads, and they are easy to transport and quick to slip onto stitches.

Indigenous Beading: We're beading the turtle from the creation story known as Skywoman. This creation story is shared by many Indigenous people in North America, including Potawatomi, Mohawk, Haudenosaunee, Oneida. The land we're on in Bloomington is part of the Potawatomi's ancestral homelands. The beading technique we're using for the turtle shell is called "return stitch." It is a relatively new form of appliqué beading and a simplification of two-needle appliqué as it only requires one needle.
