This is the result of the first beading workshop I attended back in November 2010. I decided to go all out for glitz.

Indigenous Beading: We're beading the turtle from the creation story known as Skywoman. This creation story is shared by many Indigenous people in North America, including Potawatomi, Mohawk, Haudenosaunee, Oneida. The land we're on in Bloomington is part of the Potawatomi's ancestral homelands. The beading technique we're using for the turtle shell is called "return stitch." It is a relatively new form of appliqué beading and a simplification of two-needle appliqué as it only requires one needle.

These wristers are a variation of the Fingerless Gloves from Knitting Daily.
I used Debbie Bliss Merino, and one ball isn't enough for the the pair of gloves.
Also, I think the Merino has been discontinued, as I couldn't find any more.
