sI like that "y" is the Greek owercase form/letter gamma, and each embellishment looks like a tiny 'Y'. :)

For a swap. I wanted to add a lot more beading, but I ran out of time.

Part of my niece's Christmas present this year was this trio of felted bags.

Each was made by knitting a tube of 40-some-odd stitches until I ran out of yarn (putting a garter stitch border at the end). Each was then finished and decorated a bit differently.

The first one shown is made from some dark denim-y blue wool and the Handpaint Originals. There is also a small amount of a flag yarn and a ladder yarn in the same colors as the HO in the garter stitch border. This tube was simply whip-stitched straight across the bottom to make a flat rectangular bag. I then used the two novelty yarns, a navy 5/2 cotton, and two shades of purple 8/2 tencel to crochet the strap (which I just sewed up the edges), and Marie added beads to the ends of the cotton and tencel. Her initial is needle-felted with some natural fleece and then a strand of the HO.

The second one shown is knit with one skein of some hand dyed Berkshire Bulky. This tube was closed by threading some yarn through the cast-on stitches and pulling tight. I then sewed the puckered bottom together to create a basket-like shape. Marie used some light wooden beads and beading wire to make a cute handle.

The third one is knit with one skein of WotA Bulky Handpaint. This tube was closed by creating a cross at the bottom. I then crocheted a long strap out of some matching cotton yarns and threaded it through to make a backpack. We decided this needed no embellishment. :)

This rosary was created in college. It is made up of very small images of me as a child or people, pets, buildings that meant a lot to me during my childhood.

The idea behind this project was that the rosary is supposed to be a tool to meditate on your beliefs. I used the symbol to make a tool to meditate on my childhood instead because I felt that my former religion overlooked the idea of exploring or honoring who you were and focused more on concentrating on what your beliefs should be.

A slightly less blurry shot that's closer to the true color of the beading and dress.

Well, after being in places I had time to bead, but no comfy table to sit by, I just had to find a plan. I have sewn this beading surface with a detachable beading mat inside.

:-) I chose my skin.........

Gray and white anklet. One of the first I made.

This is a dark teal pearlized bead. It is a 200 count tasbih, with gold/rhinestone spacers at the 50/100/150 marks and at the center. Then a large crystal like bead followed by 10 gold "counter" beads.

This is a special gift for a friend who needs a larger tasbih with smaller beads, and a tighter movement. Of all the sets I've ever made, I think this is my favorite. :)

This is the costume I made for the Enchanted Doll birthday contest in 2010. It's based on one of the dolls that the artist made and constructed to fit her. The original doll costume can be seen here: www.enchanteddoll.com/galleries/concubine/concubine.html

The beading on the jacket took me a rediculous amount of time. I'd estimate somewhere between 80 and 150 hours total, but I did not keep a record. I wish I could have done more, but cube square said that I was killing myself just getting this much.

The paint on this one was absolutely gorgeous.
