They used to be two large (size of a human head) and brilliantly white rhododendron flowers. Now, all the petals have gone. The affection remains. Mine does.

My neighbour´s cat - she is very shy and doesn´t like to be touched or groomed (even not by "her humans", my neighbours). But, however, she uses her own way to show her affection.

While observing the white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) rut in Oklahoma last November, Caro and I were lucky enough to witness some grooming and bond reinforcement behavior between various does and older fawns.
