Each individual Zebra has unique markings, like fingerprints in humans. It is said that newborn Zebra stay close to the mother to imprint her patterns.

Our latest visitors, taken through a chain link fence, a first. A small group of gobblers put on a display of affection for one hen that was nearby.

When you both get a quiet time together and you exchange affectionate stares and touches. Love is within each others hearts and your souls are one. Others see you both together and sense that this is an affectionate time.

My little brother is soooo cute, and I love him soooo much!

Situated on the southern shores of Loch Rannoch, the Black Woods are one of two Caledonian Forest reserves in Perthshire.

Being paler green, the mid-distant rowan tree catches the eye; it stands at a corner of what used to be a farm building, now nothing but a pile of rubble.

Prints and things are available from the website: www.shinyphoto.co.uk/gallery/rannoch

Kaka, the buthanese kitten

Bogart, hands down, is a phenomenal dog. We are truly blessed to have him in our household. Bogart is not a barker, something we appreciate greatly when Magnus lets his deep voice be heard. . . and heard. . . and heard. Bogart loves everyone, loving when we have company so he can soak up affection from everyone and anyone. And, as many are already aware, one of the most endearing aspects of Bogart is his adoration of felines.

Once again, I couldn't choose just one. Additional photos are in the comments of Bogart interacting with Amerigo, all clickable, of course.

Pentax K1000

Expired Fuji Velvia 50

I recently gifted my wonderful little Pentax K1000 to a good friend as their wedding gift. Bittersweet for sure, as I have had this trusted companion now for over a decade. But It had fallen out of the rotation & I love the act of giving and receiving film cameras to and from loved ones. (In fact, this camera itself was gifted to me by an old colleague.) Shooting film is already so special, somehow this makes it even more so. To my delight, I discovered a fully exposed roll of Velvia 50 inside from a few years ago. What a nice parting gift. Thank you for all the good years, Pentax K1000. May you have many more. xx

A classic California sunset at Carlsbad Beach in north San Diego. That perfect moment when you say goodbye to the day and hello to the night. The tide was low which makes for great opportunities to take photographs of people in silhouette. The golden sand of the beach and those final rays of light make for a moment to treasure life and love and count your blessings. Kiss the day goodbye.
