Ι spotted them three days ago during a mountain biking ride. Went back the next day to ''shoot'' them with my ''workhorse''. They were kind enough to offer me some unique moments.

In the lake of tranquil love
I see reflections, very deep
That do shine and they leap
Across the beauty of the lake
Where sweet love, lovers make
Their passion reflected , for all to see
Insatiable , unstoppable, wildly free
By the lake, of never ending affections
Where you see, natures beautiful reflections
These critically endangered white-backed vultures are a joy to be able to observe/photograph in any situation since there’s no telling how much longer they’ll still be around in the wild. In this specific shot, the birds are somehow managing to look affectionate and very intimidating all at the same time.

Black and white, shot with a Nikon D40 and a Nikkor AFS DX 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6G lens. Off-camera lighting via a ceiling-bounced SB-600 flashgun fired via a Yongnuo radio trigger, and processed in GIMP and Photoscape.
2 of the beauties that live in one of the nature reserves close to home. They seem to have a wonderful bond.
