View Large On Black This species thrives on the edge of the forest, as the dark forest lacks the underbrush and grasslands that the deer prefers as food, and completely open areas lack the hiding spots and the cover it prefers for harsh weather. One of the plants that Black tailed deer browse is Western poison oak, in spite of this plant's content of toxins.[2] This deer often is most active at dawn and dusk, and is frequently involved in collisions with automobiles. These critically endangered white-backed vultures are a joy to be able to observe/photograph in any situation since there’s no telling how much longer they’ll still be around in the wild. In this specific shot, the birds are somehow managing to look affectionate and very intimidating all at the same time.

Chandrabhaga beach on the coast of Konark becoming India's first to get the Blue Flag certification — a tag given to environment-friendly clean beaches, equipped with amenities of international standards for tourists. Recently another beach has also got this tag( Golden beach) I will post photos of it in future
Formerly, the waters of Chandrabhaga beach flowed inside the Sun Temple falling on the wheel, dance hall and smaller shrines. The beach was then moved by 2 km from Konark Temple. The beach is usually a spot for picnics and tourists visit it after offering prayers at the Sun Temple. The Chandrabhaga fair is held annually to honor Lord Surya. During this festival, the beach comes to life with religious events happening in the beach, Jatra or Orissa Folk Theatre and vendors selling food and toys. One can reach here from Puri Railway Station and the best time to visit this place is from October to May.
I remember there is another legend associated with the beach, which says… Sambha son of lord Krishna was once cursed of leprosy by none other than his father ! Sambha was very handsome and krishna felt his 16000 wives were getting more fond of Sambha than him ! Broken hearted ,Sambha was roaming in Chandrabhaga river,they say….He prayed to sun god ,with full devotion and was cured of his leprosy !!

Le Tyran Tritri est un oiseau passereau qui vit en Amérique du Nord. Il fait la migration et se réfugie en Amérique du Sud pour y passer l'hiver. C'est un oiseau migrateur qui peut parcourir 3,000 à 11,000 km pour rejoindre son aire d'hivernement.
Habitat : Le tyran tritri affectionne les endroits plutôt découverts, comme les prairies, les pâturages, les clairières, les vergers, les fermes et les tourbières.
(Sur cette photo il était dans la tourbière près de l'étang…)
C'est un oiseau insectivore. Il se perche sur un piquet de clôture, un pilonne, au haut d'un arbre et capture les insectes en plein vol. Il peut même arracher un petit fruit de sa tige en vol.
La vie d'un Tyran Tritri a une durée d'environ 9 ans.

Flowers in a shot glass - received from a child ...
Every Fall I switch out the flowers in my planters for chrysanthemums, also affectionally called 'mums'. Mums come in a variety of colours and while I like them all I steer more towards the yellows or orange varieties since I also decorate with pumpkins alongside them. This quirky orange/yellow combination was the only colour left that had still several buds unopened which was great since that means it would last longer.
