Affection or fondness is a "disposition or rare state of mind or body" that is often associated with a feeling or type of love. It has given rise to a number of branches of philosophy and psychology concerning emotion, disease, influence, state of being,"Affection" is popularly used to denote a feeling or type of love, amounting to more than goodwill or friendship. Writers on ethics generally use the word to refer to distinct states of feeling, both lasting and spasmodic. Some contrast it with passion as being free from the distinctively sensual element.

In the language of flowers, the tulip stands for true love and affection.

A bit of a throwback from a foggy morning in August. Throwback is probably the wrong term as you have never seen this before, it’s been ignored on my hard drive. A big part of my passion for photography is taking photos of places that are new and a record of my explorations, and I’m usually not in a rush to look at or process photos from my local area especially if I have new batch photos from more unfamiliar places come along. So it’s refreshing to rediscover this photo again, familiar as I am with this view the conditions that morning where rather special, and I’m sure in years to come this photo will probably grow in my affections, more so that an excitedly taken photo in an unfamiliar place.

And if you have a minute, why don't we go

Talk about it somewhere only we know?

This could be the end of everything

So, why don't we go somewhere only we know?

Somewhere only we know

Somewhere Only We Know - by Keane ‧ 2004

(Erebus was feeling pessimistic, so we went to my secret garden to talk about the positive side of being at Ground Zero. Hey, pessimism is my thing. "Mind that flash, what flash, poof.")

True love, tender affection

An unbreakable sweet connection

Eyes that meet late at night

Bodies held in arms, so tight

Lip's are joined in a gentle kiss

Sharing a moment of pure bliss

That into a heart beautifully flows

It becomes stronger and forever grows

As bodies wrap softly together

Devoted eyes share looks, so tender

Creating a never ending connection

Of true love and sweet affection

"Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" is a song credited to Lennon–McCartney that appears on the Beatles' 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. John Lennon started production of the song, and then Paul McCartney contributed to it in a songwriting session.

Have you seen an image of Pelé hugging some famous in the streets? It is the "Pele Beijoqueiro", a series of lambe-lambs by the artist Luis Bueno, 35, from São Paulo, present in walls and walls of several cities in Brazil.

Pele's Lambe-licks

Bueno has already put Pelé next to the Mona Lisa, of Leonardo da Vinci; characters from the "Star Wars" franchise; the painter Salvador Dalí and even the singer David Bowie, the biggest assembly of the series.

The lamb-lambes, artistic technique of assembly and collage, were inspired by a photo of Pelé embracing Muhammad Ali in 1977, in the United States.

"I fell in love with the image, which brought this gesture of affection and affection of a great symbol of Brazil that is Pelé. Immediately I realized that I could reconstruct the image and enjoy the gesture of the kiss, replacing Muhammad with other people," said Bueno , in an interview with Batanga.

The works are produced in stages. The artist took the photo and started a digital painting process that took months to get ready. Then it is scaled, separated into several parts for printing and cut manually. "Many pieces in the series are hand-painted too, which would be a fourth step," he says.

I liked this picture Larry took (even though my name ended up on it....oops!) while I was having a little photo session with Floydd!

It kind of sums up our relationship!

It’s a long time since I went out to photograph a sunrise – maybe that’s because it’s way too early during the summer time. After a strong storm the day before, we had a good chance of getting some fog in the morning. Enough reason to get out the camera again. This tree stands on a field near our village. So i passed it a lot of times and i already had the idea of this picture in mind. That morning everything came together.

The King Penguin is the largest of the five breeding penguin species in the Falkland Islands. This pair was photographed at Volunteer Point in late spring, approximately 2 months before chicks are born.

A 360 degrees panorama photo taken on the top on one of the royal "mounds" in Old Uppsala. The couple got up just as I finished my 360 degrees rotation. I kept them in the photo as I found it rather interesting to ahve them there.

An unusual picture for me but I did capture the moment. Also it's worth noting that the camera was cropped to 50mm in camera so I'm pleased with the results.

This Sandhill Crane couple seemed having lovely affection toward each other. The way they looked to their companions gave a very sweet feeling. Love is universal.
