A Walk in the Park
Always nice to wander round the forests and enjoy the sunshine. some of the snow was quite deep in places but alwyas nice to be there.
before christmas, we made a walk through the vineyards to Schloss Johannisberg, part of Geisenheim/Rhine. the abbey was founded in 1106, the church destroyed in WWII, and restored, reminded me of the situation in Ukraine... Johannisberg castle had famous owners: Nassau-Oranien and Metternich (until 2006) were the most prominent ones. The Riesling from Johannisberg is a famous and delicious wine.

The weather is meant to be poor, windy and wintery. Well, up ontop of the Downs it was, freezing, it was windy and was snowing. In Faversham it is so sunny and warm? Who knows whats going on! A new walk in a new wood in the snow. Brilliant, don't know why we have not gone before. An old Forestry Commission evergreen plantation being restored back to mixed deciduous. Lots of wild flowers, orchids, birds and interest and new!
A walk in the park
A walk in the park - Looking down Cathedral Walk with the spires of St Machar's Cathedral peaking above the trees of Seaton Park. As the late afternoon sunshine gives way to a summer's evening, the lengthening shadows cast themselves across the manicured lawns of the park.

DAMBO is decoded as Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass though the name now incorporates the whole area next to Brooklyn Bridge too. In the past, it was a busy port neighborhood in Brooklyn. Since then, many warehouses have been converted to offices or residential buildings.
