Following a dental appointment this morning, I decided to go for a walk in the local park. Found this Kingbird hunting and singing in the warm sunshine. Life is good… even after a trip to the Dentist : )

Western Kingbird
The Western Kingbird is a large flycatcher found throughout western environments of North America and as far south as Mexico.
Kingbirds are fairly large flycatchers with large heads and broad shoulders. They have heavy, straight bills, long wings, and a medium-length, square-tipped tail.
Easily found perched upright on fences and utility lines, Western Kingbirds hawk insects from the air or fly out to pick prey from the ground. They ferociously defend their territories with wing-fluttering, highly vocal attacks. Vocalizations include long series of squeaky, bubbling calls as well as single, accented kip notes.

I wish we have this winter, as we always had in old days. I love snow in January.. but - no snow at all here.
Thank you all fine Flickr friends for kind and nice comments during the holidays season.
My health has not been so good. Even though I have enjoyed both Christmas and New Year with family and friends.

The sea seamed to be very angry at this afternoon in Vik. How I loved the mood of this moment.

Walking in the Great Salt Lake gives some really nice views of the surrounding landscape with the sun setting behind me - in the background is the northern end of the Oquirrh Mountain range

“She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies …. “

My walk in the woods yesterday around Kendrick Pond, Needham, Massachusetts. Nothing like a walk in the woods to clear the mind!
The triangular Plönlein, or "little square," is one of the most famous views in Rothenburg ob der Tauber and also the most photographed. To the left is the Siebers Tower and to the right is Kobolzell Gate. It was a rainy day, but proved to be one of the highlights of our trip to Bavaria this summer.
Weather forecast for today - 50 shades of grey

Hello Everyone, One of the things I love about Second Life is when the seasons and holidays come around, there are people and artists who create amazing things to see and explore. Autumn being one of my favorite times of the year, especially living in Real Life where i do, I love all that goes along with the season. I visited a great sim in Second Life that does such every year, the place is Targus Forest and if you have never been, I would say to give the sim a visit, they have created a beautiful autumn forest I love exploring and yes must take a photo or two. :)
Have a wonderful Friday today and love to you all. :)
xoxo,
Hildda
