Amazingly, the northern lights were very active and vibrant well into the morning New Year's Day. Lots of purple and blue, as well as deep red and magenta, unusual colors in the 'normal' green.
This time laps is created from 345 individual shots, 6 seconds exposures ISO 1600, F2.8. The time span begins approximately 8 am and runs to 8:45 am, when the battery finally went dead.
Wer kennt sie nicht, die Glücksklees die Silvester auf unsere Fensterbänke wandern. Am Anfang sind sie noch schön rund und kompakt gewachsen. Nach den ersten 10 Tagen zuhause fangen sie an immer längere Blattstiele zu entwickeln und sehen dann nicht mehr sehr attraktiv aus. Wärme und Lichtmangel in der Wohnung treiben sie dazu an. Nicht selten wandern sie dann in den Mülleimer. Wer sie bis zum Frühjahr weiter auf seiner Fensterbank hütet, kann sie dann im Garten nach den Eisheiligen (Anfang Mai) auspflanzen. Sie benötigen einen schattigen, mäßig feuchten Standort. Sie entwickeln sich dann zu prachtvollen Pflanzen und fangen nicht selten im späteren Sommer an rosarot zu blühen. Im Herbst schützt man sie mit einer ca. 15 cm dicken Laubschicht vor Frost, so kommen sie auch gut durch den Winter und treiben im nächsten Frühjahr wieder aus.

"Northbound"
Due to all the wars and crises along the path from Japan to Europe, airlines had to reactivate the almost forgotten polar routes.
Flying over these remote areas poses special threats, like erratic compasses, extreme cold temperatures and being very far away from the next landing possibility in case of unexpected problems.
On the other hand, the route offers unusual views, like the Aurora Borealis I was able to record during my Swiss International Air Lines flight over the Bering-, the Chukchi-Sea and eastern Alaska.

My dad didn't make it home for Christmas. He is not in good condition, but he is stable. I caught a nasty virus and wasn't able to visit him on Christmas, but I'm feeling better and plan to visit him in a week, or so.
Sorry I missed my favorite time on Flickr. Christmas. I hope to drop by some of your streams and see what delightful art you've posted. It may take me awhile because I'm still not feeling tip-top.
I love animation and have made animations for quite a few years as a hobby. I started out with zero knowledge, so I have improved. I just find it fun.
For this post, I started with a copyright- free photo that I found on Pixabay pixabay.com/photos/beach-birds-sea-ocean-flying-birds-185... , added a picture of me taken about 7 years ago, animated the waves, clouds, sun, hair flowing in the wind and added seagulls and copyright free sounds.
As for the poem, I’m not a native Spanish speaker, but I did hear Spanish spoken growing up and I taught Spanish for many years. I figured out that you can’t write the poem in English and then translate. You have to think it in Spanish, hence the literal English translation. I could have translated the poem into English with an English rhyming version, but that would be writing a different poem.

What a wonderful coming surprise is Siberian white crane at Taiwan of northern.
What a great landing December 13 2014, in New Taipei City water wetland located Huangsi the seafront with Chingshui Interchange estuary wetlands until now.
From birding report we know the Siberian white crane, endangered worldwide is estimated that only about 3500 to 4000 is precious now.
The Siberian white crane of juvenile, aged about one year old, head and neck golden brown, body length of about 120 cm.
Local governments have made some protective measures, Open daily 10am-4pm, the opening hours of non-disabled access,
