Didn't see any of the major splashes (I had my underwater camera just in case) but you can hear some of the sound for which Thunderho!e is famous. It is produced by water flowing into hollow beneath the rock.

Mike spotted this beautiful barred owl while we were hiking. They took off from tree to tree a few times and we were thrilled to watch them!
But this was my favorite part of the FLF Birthday Bash!!!!

il "Soggiorno" - è stato fantastico ... peccato l'umidità!
Le amiche, alla riunione, che precedeva la partenza,
avevano assicurato che ad aprile, il clima era caldo.
Di giorno il clima era sicuramente caldo ... piacevole vivere
al Village, dove tutto era organizzato fin nei minimi particolari.
Per la cena al chiuso … anche ... non te ne accorgevi, ma ...
per il ballo all'aperto - che ridere ! ... i capelli delle donne,
chi diventava riccia - chi sembrava appena uscita dalla doccia.
Sicuramente una vacanza allegra da ricordare.

Tsurunoyu Onsen is one of eight hot-spring baths that belong to Nyutou Onsenkyo which is located near the foot of Nyutou san(1478m). Tsurunoyu Onsen is one of the oldest hot spring resorts of Nyutou Onsenkyo. Tsurunoyu Onsen dates back to 1638 and 1661 when the second lord of Akita Yoshitaka Satake and Iwashiro Kameda visited Tsurunoyu Onsen for therapy respectively. Visitations by the general public began to be recorded during the Genroku era(1688~1704).
Tsurunoyu Onsen derives its name from the fact that a local hunter saw a crane (“Tsuru” in Japanese) healing its wounds in the spring.

Vingt-et-un jets d’eau, éclairés par des projecteurs, ont été installés sur la Mayenne, en aval du pont Aristide Briand. Une première en France sur une rivière !
Profitant des écourues de la Mayenne, les travaux d’installation des jets d’eau ont débuté en septembre 2012 mais ont été interrompus suite aux fortes précipitations. Ils n'ont repris qu’un an plus tard, en septembre 2013.

When I photograph bighorn sheep, I much prefer to climb to their height rather than shoot them from below. Seeing them interact at eye level is such a joy. Photographing them with the valleys below give one a better sense of their daily living conditions. They descend from the mountain peaks in winter to forage on what they can to eat below the shallow snows.
