Today, we had a thunderstorm. Before it arrived, I looked out the window and was captivated by the way the clouds were gathering, glowing in warm golden and amber hues beneath the setting sun. Lightning flashed from time to time, and the wind kept growing stronger. Then the downpour began.
The rain finally brought an end to the unbearable heat that had gripped the city all week. It also cleared away the choking smoke that had blanketed Kyiv after last night's massive missile and drone attack. Another source of the smoke is the peat bogs burning north of the city, which are reportedly being deliberately set on fire by Russian forces. Peatlands are relatively easy to ignite, but extremely difficult to extinguish once they catch fire.
For this video, I chose a track with the symbolic title "Where We End". It feels especially meaningful these days, at least to me.

Cala Blanca es una pequeña cala muy cercana a Ciudadela, al oeste de Menorca. Está situada en la urbanización con el mismo nombre.
Aunque el agua de Cala Blanca es transparente, es una playa muy afectada por la posidonia oceánica, o dicho de otro modo, las algas. De todas formas, en nuestra última visita en 2009, ya no había los montones de años anteriores. Suelen limpiar la playa una vez al inicio del verano.

It's kind of goofy, but here's a video of pudding's special 8 position eye mech. Is it her t-bar? I actually kind of like having two different eye positions so I might just leave it as is unless it could be damaging? I love how cute she looks when she squeezes her eyes shut tight. :)

Getting lost in nature, and seeing so many beautiful creatures free in the Wild is a lovely experience.
Yala National Park is one of the largest national parks in Sri Lanka, and is also known to have the world's highest concentration of Leopards, although spotting them still requires some luck.
Hope you enjoy this short highlight of our trip to Yala.

The Great Gray Owl (Strix nebulosa) is a very large owl, documented as the world's largest species of owl by length. It is distributed across the Northern Hemisphere, and it is the only species in the Strix (genus) found in both Eastern and Western Hemispheres. In some areas it is also called Phantom of the North, Cinereous Owl, Spectral Owl, Lapland Owl, Spruce Owl, Bearded Owl, and Sooty Owl.

This timelapse sequence was captured at Spiterstulen in Jotunheimen. Notice how the colors in the atmosphere turn from the usual dark blue to a faint green glow. This is an airglow phenomenon- a faint emission of light which is caused by various processes in the earths upper atmosphere. I'm always looking for changes in the nature when I shoot timalapse, so this exceeded my expectations for what I thought to be a rather predictable timelapse sequence.
Friday the 13th sunset timelapse video. I liked how the sun reflected on the water and how the layers of clouds moved in varied directions.

Due to all the wars and crises along the path from Japan to Europe, airlines had to reactivate the almost forgotten polar routes.
Flying over these remote areas poses special threats, like erratic compasses, extreme cold temperatures and being very far away from the next landing possibility in case of unexpected problems.
On the other hand, the route offers unusual views, like the Aurora Borealis I was able to record during my Swiss International Air Lines flight over the Bering-, the Chukchi-Sea and eastern Alaska.
