Some brief video I put together from clips taken on an evening game drive at Samburu National Reserve in Kenya. Here a young male lion is just awakening from a day of sleep to prepare for a night of hunting. All we had for steadying our shots was sandbags, so sometimes there'll be a bounce. Prompt is my own. I tried my enhancing it, but had 'interesting' results. So, I just decided to go with what I already wrote, and got this nice, albeit short, battle scene.

Again, the quality could be better.
Very early in the morning and it was still before sunrise on an overcast day.
But, it is something that not to many people get a chance to witness.
Little Red is on the left and the Little Female (Pretty Girl) is on the right.
I was shooting stills and had just switched to video.
That was when all the action started.
I shot a few seconds of video, then switched back to stills.
It happened so very fast.
In the short video you can see just how fast they can move and react.
On a good note, I was able to get a close up of Little Red's eye.
It looks normal.
There wasn't any of that opaque whitish/blue anymore.
I am starting to think that came from the snow reflecting off his eye.
I am sooooo!!! Happy!!!
His eye is now looking normal.
I think it is going to be just fine!
He is still pestering her a lot.
Funny, how when she gets tired of his attention, she will come over close to me and lay down till he wanders off.
I love the trust.

Time-lapse video of airglow, Milky Way, meteors satellites and airplanes over historic sites, under the dark, starry skies of rural Nevada, arguably the darkest state in the Lower 48 states.
This time-lapse sequence will soon no longer be possible to capture like this, as these sites decay over time. Vandalism and even necessary restoration and protection measures interfere with seeing and capturing sites in an authentic state.
I'm uploading landscape astrophotography videos today, on the anniversary of Carl Sagan's passing. His astronomy series Cosmos was an inspiration to me.
Night sky time-lapse videos like this are becoming more difficult to capture as light pollution grows in the West, and worldwide.
