Amazingly, the northern lights were very active and vibrant well into the morning New Year's Day. Lots of purple and blue, as well as deep red and magenta, unusual colors in the 'normal' green.
This time laps is created from 345 individual shots, 6 seconds exposures ISO 1600, F2.8. The time span begins approximately 8 am and runs to 8:45 am, when the battery finally went dead.

Time lapse comprendiendo en 30seg la llegada del carguero UASC Jeddah y el crucero Splendour of the Seas de la Royal Caribbean al puerto de Buenos Aires. Todo va desde las 18.58 hasta las 19.57 del 8 de marzo de 2010, dársena norte. La serie no estaba tomada para preparar un time lapse pero mas o menos queda bien.
Time lapse showing in 30sec the arrivals of the cargo ship UASC Jeddah and the Splendour of the Seas cruise from Royal Caribbean in Buenos Aires. Everything goes from 6.58 pm until 7.57 pm on 8 March 2010. The series was not taken to prepare a time lapse but, anyway, it fits rather good.

I discovered this short video clip I took at Over Owler Tor on 22 January 2013. I wouldn't have thought he'd get many tips for his busking efforts up there!
In the pavilion of Uzbekistan at the 2025 world expo in Osaka, visitors are shown into a cylindrical room. After the doors shut, there are 360 degree projections on the internal wall of the drum. When the doors open, visitors find that they have been transported to the rooftop of the pavilion.
This work is done for Continuing with my Positive Flags of the Nations celebrating the beauty of trees.
Also for Finding the Beauty in the World Today Despite the Hardships Given Us by the Coronavirus.

I blew up a suitcase.
But that's probably not enough info.
Briefly - Tannerite is a legal binary explosive used in reactive targets for long-range shooters. When its two components are mixed, it is still stable, only detonating if struck by an object moving at 2,000fps or faster.
The charge in this video is a half-pound, the standard-sized charge. I had shot at over a dozen Tannerite targets prior to this shot, and while the explosions were loud, they weren't all that impressive. So when my neighbor gave me an old suitcase he was throwing out and I got the brilliant idea to put a Tannerite charge in there, I thought that, at best, it would simply tear a big ragged hole in the suitcase or something.
Had I actually taken a physics course in college, I probably would have had a better understanding about explosions and the expansion of gases and such. Hell - I even got CLOSER because I didn't think it'd be that bad. As you can see, this went way beyond a ragged hole in the suitcase - the whole damned thing blowed up, smacking me and my friend Jose with debris.
This was actually incredibly stupid and not something I'd repeat - at least not at such close range. We really could have gotten hurt.
That said - it's still funny as hell and I can't stop laughing about it.
Missy & Mhina
Missy getting a hug from Mhina. These two could not be more indifferent. Missy is quite simple when it comes to the ball pythons: she has no interest. She'll just chill and enjoy the attention I give her. She's more fascinated by the scampering feet of the bearded dragons - they are far more interactive than the boring snakes it seems to her. And well, Mhina has been around all the sights and smells of the house since she was a hatchling (Spring '02) that the only smell she concerns herself with are rats. Rats are a completely different story. lol
Throughout the whole video Mhina is simply moving away from Missy - she seems to enjoy getting exercise and exploring the environment outside of her own enclosure and Missy is simply an obstacle. I only take her out of her enclosure for no more than thirty minutes at a time and only when she gets active, usually at night. She basically indicates when I fool around with her; this was one of those times. I don't forcefully take them out of their hidebox, unless I'm feeding them or they need a quick soaking during ecdysis, to minimize any undo stress such actions may cause.
Yukio touches her tail in the video, which is basically all he ever does, if ever he gets the gumption. Never aggressive, just curious. Under normal conditions I don't advise tail touching with snakes because it can be a sensitive area and they will often jerk away when this occurs. Mhina does not do this. Mhina doesn't seem to be sensitive in this area. I've tested her tolerance quite a bit because of the household I live in and she has shown what her limits are, which is pretty limitless. However, I do not push my snakes. My other BP, Beau, (hatched Spring '02) does not like the whole social aspect with different stimuli; he can be wary of his surroundings and I don't wish to agitate him. Even though he's never been aggressive, I don't take the chance. I adore my ball pythons and the bitch pom too. lol
