Another slideshow from Tasmania - this time of Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake.
The show looks at some scenery en route to Cradle Mountain and then the simply stunning Dove Lake circuit walk which follows the lake with Cradle Mountain often in the view!
Hope you enjoy another little slice of this quite amazing Australian State - Tasmania.

This video opens with two young of Common Loon in their all-brown plumage, making some tentative head-dipping moves toward fending on their own by diving to find food. Then their two parents appear on the scene, diving repeatedly and bringing a steady supply of food to their growing offspring. This evocative sequence happened not far from the major city of Calgary, in southern Alberta, Canada.
Heron
How round was the moon when Ardea,
the great city, fell

belly whitened by the still-warm ashes,

and the moon, high on her ecliptic
glanced thinly through open pinions,
‘til she landed, took her stand,
silent night sentinel.
But if the moon was dark, then she rose
with an anguished cry, crest bedraggled,
yellow eyes gleaming with terror,
and the moonless dark called her,
winged cadaver, dusty death-shriek,
hunger clenched and coiled for striking,
and fishes cringed as she flew by.

Source material: The legend of the heron arising from the smoking ruins of the city of Ardea is recounted in Ovid’s Metamorphoses, Book Fourteen, lines 573-581. In English folklore, the heron is said to wax and wane with the moon. See Yvonne Aburrow, Auguries and Omens: the Magical Lore of Birds, Capall Bann, Chieveley, 1994, pp. 102-105.

It is so painful to see in news protesters clashing with police and causing some sorts of the troubles. This is not what I have seen when I joined them yesterday at the USA Embassy in London. It was most well organised I possible even seen, so peaceful and friendly. Several times I have been offered face mask and water. There were only good vibes of a united community. Not sure why someone decided to go to Whitehall and clash with police. From the other hand – no rights were won without breaking the law – this is the world we all live, unfortunately.

I used my original "Touched by a Rainbow" to generate two more video clips along with a clip of my original.
If you take notice the two butterflies turn into two Monarch butterflies but in the end they are the same colorful butterflies like in the orig.

It was a busy morning at Kingston pier on Norfolk Island while men unloaded goods from the freighter standing off shore. Amid the activity they also launched a fishing boat, something I'd never seen done this way before.
