The area I have chosen to live in is harsh in the winter, mild in spring and fall and sometimes hot in the short summer. But, it is places nearby such as yaak falls that always bring me back to serenity. If you look closely you will see what I believe is a Robin hopping across the foreground rock to the edge of the falls.

Amazing place to visit.
Abbotsbury Swannery is the only managed colony of nesting mute swans in the world. It is situated near the village of Abbotsbury in Dorset, England, 14 kilometres (9 mi) west of Weymouth on a 1-hectare (2-acre) site around the Fleet Lagoon protected from the weather of Lyme Bay by Chesil Beach. The colony can number over 600 swans with around 150 pairs. Written records of the swannery's existence go back to 1393, though it probably existed well before that and is believed to have been set up by Benedictine monks in the eleventh century.

A fine summer afternoon finds us ambling through Ackerville Wisconsin, headed for Horicon with the Scenic Rail Dining passenger train, as a westbound Wisconsin Central freight overtakes us. I'm sure the passengers that were enjoying drinks and fine cuisine also enjoyed the sight of the freight train.

It was interesting that this ship backed out of the harbor. I suspect it was too large to turn around while in the small harbor.
