Le tigre blanc présente une particularité génétique appelée leucistisme (ou leucisme). Cette déficience en mélanine (pigment naturel) est à l’origine de la coloration de son pelage.
Contrairement à la robe orangée des autres tigres, celle du tigre blanc ne permet pas à l’animal de se camoufler dans la végétation. Facilement repérable par d’éventuels prédateurs, ainsi que par ses proies, il est à la fois exposé au danger et dans l’incapacité de se nourrir. Félin solitaire, il ne peut survivre longtemps par lui-même. On n'en trouve donc que quelques-uns dans une réserve en Inde et, en captivité, dans les parcs zoologiques.
Le taux de consanguinité est aujourd'hui tel que la plupart des jeunes naissant leucistes meurent ou ont des problèmes. L'ex Parc des Félins" de Lumigny n'en présentera plus lorsque ses trois derniers tigres blancs auront disparu.

Well , this of course is not the haviest snow storm, but heavy enough to stop ships come into port...
Not exactly a work of art, but interesting behavior nonetheless. I've always thought that rushing (the dance) was like singles dating (trying to hookup) and the weed ceremony is commitment, the ring, engagement, lets raise a family as its only done during and just prior to nesting and maybe it is, but this clip doesn't exactly back up that theory. The ceremony was interrupted and the female didn't miss a beat and continued with the new guy.

Snowy Owl
The Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus) is a large, white owl of the typical owl family. Snowy Owls are native to Arctic regions in North America and Eurasia. Younger Snowy Owls start with darker plumage, which turns lighter as they get older. Males are almost all white, while females have more flecks of gray plumage.

All I am seeing at the moment are these spotted pardalotes. Life could be worse.
I have tried to not disturb the pardalotes as they dig their nest hole, but despite this, they don't seem to take any notice of me. Story of my life. In this 4k video clip the male has descended to the entrance of the hole and after a few moments enters it and disappears. Just after he disappears, he ejects some excavation debris.

Va de una en una dedicandoles su plumaje y cositas y detallitos de amor y cariño,,,,♫ de una en una...y vuelve al docel de la rama donde se situa y hace constar su presencia..mostrando su erizado plumaje y contorsiones corporales.

Musique Gable at The Delfina Club New Year's Eve Party
My beautiful friend Musique Gable passed away last week. Here she is in the last video I shot of her about one month ago. The DJ is ĿĪĿώείŋ Ŀεɱoŋ (lilwein) and the hostess is Geddy Overdrive (geddy.mcgettigan).
This is an experiment, but I thought it came out quite well so decided to post it.
It was taken at night in my bathroom with the reflection of my Multiple Device Charging Station blue light reflected on the ceiling.
