Of course it's that time of year again when the crows are looking for an easy meal. I put the main lot of food in the squirrel box now, so no one should be making off with all the food this time.
I don't know what the second adult brought to the nest to eat but the babies seemed to like it. This was taken with a Nikon P900 on a tripod zoomed in to 2000mm (35mm equivalent). It was pretty windy, so I turned the audio off.

The look through the camera is like a door to another world.

De Totesee (Totensee,) is een stuwmeer van 0,27 km² in het kanton Wallis aan de Grimselpas op de grens met het kanton Bern. Het meer ligt op 2160 m boven de zeespiegel direct aan de waterscheiding tussen de Noordzee en de Middellandse Zee.
De Totesee dankt zijn naam aan het feit dat soldaten van het leger van hertog Berchtold V van Zähringen ongeveer 800 jaar geleden door de Wallisers in het meer werden verdreven. Bovendien stierven soldaten van de legers van Napoleon ongeveer 200 jaar geleden bij het meer.

At the barren heights of the Grimsel Pass lies the deep blue Totensee.
The Totesee (Totensee) is a 0.27 km² reservoir in the canton of Valais on the Grimsel Pass, bordering the canton of Bern. The lake is located at 2,160 m above sea level directly on the watershed between the North Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.
The Totesee owes its name to the fact that soldiers from the army of Duke Berchtold V of Zähringen were driven into the lake by the Valaisians approximately 800 years ago. Furthermore, soldiers from Napoleon's armies died at the lake approximately 200 years ago.

My camera was at the ready when our train stopped for the loco to take on water from the Animas River on the Durango And Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, from Durango to Silverton, Colorado.
The route is an unforgettable journey along the spectacular Animas River. The Animas River is one of the last free-flowing rivers in the entire western United States. The river rises high in the San Juan Mountains and ends in a confluence with the San Juan River in New Mexico; it boasts some of Colorado's most striking canyon scenery; fond memories.
